Star Wars Lads

The Star Wars Lads start off with a bit of an analysis of the future of The High Republic and its different phases, as well as the announcement of a new comic mini-series and IDW releasing a formerly-intended graphic novel in a miniseries as well. We then shift to this week's episode of The Bad Batch, "Rampage," doesn't push the overall plot of the show too far ahead, but acts as an interesting side quest that could have major ramifications later in the season, as well as possibilities for much of the Dark Times and even The Book of Boba Fett! 

Welcome back to another episode of the Star Wars Lads, where we break down the shortest The Bad Batch episode, "Cornered." It's a fun and action-packed episode with all eyes on the Bad Batch, as well as the animation arrival of Fennec Shand, of The Mandalorian fame. Welcome to another packed episode of the Star Wars Lads! We start this week's episode off with Liam's review of Thrawn Ascendency: Chaos Rising, and how that series is going so far. Next, we discuss Marvel's High Republic #5, and what this action-packed comic does for the era and many of the characters of The High Republic era. We then move onto our full breakdown of the latest The Bad Batch episode, "Replacements," and all the interesting and elements and plot lines introduced here. It's a full episode, and we hope y'all like it!

We review the second episode of The Bad Batch, "Cut and Run," where we get a special appearance by an old The Clone Wars character, as well as more looks into a rapidly changing galaxy and The Bad Batch's place in it. Hope y'all enjoy both as much as we did!

May the 4th be with y'all! On Star Wars Day no less, we got a brand new animated show, in the form of The Bad Batch! The first episode, entitled "Aftermath,", was an excellent start and what looks to be the best Star Wars animated series premiere episode! We review and discuss this 70 minute premiere episode, which also had a very big retcon to one of the biggest Jedi out there, and we have thoughts! Overall, a great episode for Star Wars Day!

With just a week away from the premiere of The Bad Batch, the Star Wars lads got together to discuss and recommend our most important and essential The Clone Wars arcs to watch beforehand! Some of the arcs are directly connected, some more thematically, but all help setup characters such as Echo, Tarkin and more! We can't wait for The Bad Batch, hope you all can't either!

With Bad Batch only two weeks away, the Star Wars Lads decide to rank our top 5 The Clone Wars arcs! Seeing as how much of Bad Batch will build off of the show and Revenge of the Sith, we rank our favorite arcs as a way to pump ourselves up and give a final farewell to the show. We also give a little bit of our thoughts on which arcs could lead into The Bad Batch, which we will explore more fully in next week's episode!

In this week's episode of the Star Wars Lads, we cover all things High Republic! We cover and review Marvel's High Republic #4, followed by IDW's High Republic Adventures #3. We then discuss the recently announced dates and details for the next wave of High Republic books, content, etc. We finish the episode out with the rumor about the infamous Star Wars Detours finally dropping on Disney Plus, and what the series is about as a whole. We start off with a bit of information that dropped as well, regarding the High Republic audiodrama, "The Tempest Runner," which stars Lourna Dee! We then shift into discussing the twelve cast members revealed for the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, as well as how this show will fit into the 19 year gap between ROTS and ANH, also known as the Dark Times! We then discuss things we expect Obi-Wan to face, in a mix of speculation and analysis of current canon. Hope y'all enjoy!
