Back with another Star Wars Story interview where I bring on my first coworker guest and fellow Star Wars die-hard Chris Hubbard to tell his story! We discuss his amazing Luke and Kylo lightsaber hilt tattoo that inspired this interview to happen, how Clone Wars reignited his obession with the Star Wars, our mutual love for Andor, and so much more. As always, we end the interview with Chris giving us his saga movie ranking, which I was a big fan of. Bad Batch Season 2 Episodes 7-8 "Clone Conspiracy" and "Truth and Consequence" prove so many things about this show, and how good it can be. It shows that Bad Batch can delivery political episodes just as good as Clone Wars did, that the Bad Batch are better as supporting characters than as the focal point of the show, and that this show needs to continue in this direction and focus up its story.
Sidenote, Senator Chuchi was the MVP in these midseason episodes and she solidifies the fact that female political figures are some of the best characters in Star Wars.

Happy 2 Year Podcast Anniversary! I thought it would be fitting to release this episode on Star Wars Podcast Day which commemorates the anniversary of the first ever Star Wars Podcast, "Jedi Talk", which was released all the way back on February 7th, 1999 (not sure who or how people were listening back then but big respect to the OGs).

This was a year of change and growth both for me personally, and for the podcast, so I thought I would try something new and structure this episode around lessons learned from this past year while making the podcast and hopefully you can find something valuable from my experience. Season 2 Episode 3 "The Solitary Clone" shows how good the Bad Batch can be. This episode hits all the right notes by having a darker tone that matches the time period, deep themes and characters conveyed through Cody and Crosshair, emphasizing the haunting score, and having extremely creative and unique action sequences.

2023 is shaping up to be one of the most promising years of Star Wars with a full slate of highly anticipated live action and animated TV series like Mando S3, Ahsoka, Bad Batch S2 and Visions S2, as well as, the sequel to one the best Star Wars games ever made. We can also expect lots of news surrounding future projects, like The Acolyte and hopefully a goddamn movie... High Republic Phase II is also in full swing with plenty of mainline books being released this year.

Hear my thoughts and predictions for all these topics. As always, I am cautiously optimistic but the hype and expectations are high with such a powerhouse of a lineup.

The Jedi Survivor Gameplay Reveal Trailer is here and it did not disappoint, highlighting new gameplay mechanics, characters, and potential story beats. There are also some noteable characters missing from the trailer which was very interesting... Hear my thoughts on where I think the sequel needs to improve over the first game, namely in combat choice and performance as well as hopes for the game around story, companion combat, and gameplay choice.

I also discuss the Bad Batch Season 2 trailer cause that also came out, so figured why not add it on. Bad Batch S1 left a lot to be desired but this trailer seemed to address those shortcomings (for the most part) and hopefully Bad Batch trends upward as seasons go on like previous animated Star Wars shows.

One of my most anticipated Star Wars series of the year after attending the exclusive panel at Star Wars Celebration, Tales of the Jedi, the anthology series of shorts that follow Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, has arrived.

Expectations were high with Ahsoka returning in animated form and Count Dooku finally getting some screen time during his time as a Jedi. What the series delivers is an enjoyable mixed bag, with some soaring highs, particularly "The Sith Lord" and some lows surrounding repeated premises in Dooku's arc and clunky dialogue/story in Ahsoka's "Resolve".

And there you have it, the best most consistent season of Star Wars television that we've ever gotten. Every deatil, every decision, ever character mattered and it culminated with a perfect full circle ending to season 1. Hear all my thoughts on Maarva's speech and how it alligns with Luthen's ideas, Nemiks manifesto, Cassian's transition into the full fledged hero of this story and of course, the bitter end to my queen Mon Mothma's arc. Thank you Andor for giving me the season of Star Wars TV I have always wanted.
