If you have been feeling like you lack focus, are fearful or anxious, have digestive issues, or are feeling overwhelmed, it could be that your root chakra is out of balance.
The root chakra is the 1st chakra, it is located at the base of the spine, near the tailbone. It is usually depicted as a red lotus flower with 4 petals and is associated with the Earth element, grounding, and the planet Mercury.
Some ways you can help balance your root chakra are connecting with the natural world, taking a walk outdoors, touch massage, or physical activity, such as Hatha Yoga
If you would like to listen to music while doing your meditations some suggestions are Christopher of the Wolves,
Eclipse, Into the Blue, Rising Sun, or Surrender.
You may find a comfortable seated position with your feet on the floor, or lay down in Shavasana (SHAAA VASANA) (dead man’s pose), or chose to stand.
I am going to close today’s meditation with the Sanskrit mantra, Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti Which translates into Om, Peace, Peace, Peace
Today’s meditation will be a chanting meditation we will say Lam, (Lum) repeatedly for 2 minutes to help balance our root chakra.
If you would like to journal after today’s meditation today’s prompts are
How did you feel doing chanting as a form of meditation?
Did you feel anything different after chanting today’s root chakra mantra?
Will you do anything else to help balance your root chakra and if so what will you do and why did you choose it?I hope you enjoyed today’s meditation and join me next time for the Sacral Chakra Meditation
