Story Transcript:

Cy: Roedd yr Eisteddfod Gwyddonol Rhyngwladol yn llenwi â phlentyndod a syniadau yn ganol dinas o dan gwmwl o eira tyner.
En: The International Scientific Eisteddfod was filled with childhood and ideas in the middle of a city under a gentle snow cloud.

Cy: Roedd Geraint yn sefyll ar lwyfan bychan gydag edrychiad penderfynol ei wyneb.
En: Geraint stood on a small stage with a determined look on his face.

Cy: Roedd ei serol nodau yn aros amdano, ond roedd problemau'n codi fel cwmwl dros loer dirwystr ei frwdfrydedd.
En: His starry goals awaited him, but problems arose like a cloud over the unobstructed path of his enthusiasm.

Cy: Mae'n aeaf, ac mae ystafell fawr y gynhadledd yn ferw ar y bywyd.
En: It's winter, and the large conference room buzzes with life.

Cy: Cyddygynullodd plant o bob cwr o'r byd, eu prosiectau yn disgyn o feddyliau ifanc llawn potensial.
En: Children from all over the world gathered, their projects emerging from young minds full of potential.

Cy: Mae themâu y Nadolig yn addurno'r ffenestri enfawr – goleuadau yn disgleirio a chylchwyr coed gwyrdd yn dathlu'r tymor.
En: The Christmas themes adorn the large windows – lights shining and wreaths of green trees celebrating the season.

Cy: Geraint, yn angerddol am seryddiaeth, petai'n gallu edrych i'r nefoedd, efallai y gallai ddod o hyd i ymateb.
En: Geraint, passionate about astronomy, if he could look to the heavens, perhaps he could find an answer.

Cy: Ei eisiau mawr oedd hytrach na dim ond darganfod, roedd hefyd i ymgorffori hynny gyda'r cyhoedd drwy gynllun diddorol ar alinio sêr yn ystod gorsaf y gaeaf.
En: His great desire was not only to discover but also to integrate that with the public through an interesting scheme on aligning stars during the winter station.

Cy: Ond roedd problemau technegol yn ei lurgi – y lensys nad oeddent yn cyfateb a'r offer methu a chydweithio.
En: But technical problems plagued him – lenses that didn't match and equipment that failed to cooperate.

Cy: Drwy'r ystafell, roedd eraill yn sefyll yn gadarn, eu cynigion yn brydferth mewn lliwiau a siapiau.
En: Across the room, others stood firmly, their proposals beautifully arrayed in colors and shapes.

Cy: Yn lletgyfrwng o'i ochr, gwelodd Carys, ei chyd-ddisgybl bywiog yno.
En: From the corner of his eye, he saw Carys, his lively classmate there.

Cy: “Hei, Geraint,” meddai wrth gamu tuag ato gyda gwên.
En: “Hey, Geraint,” she said as she stepped towards him with a smile.

Cy: “Mae'n edrych fel dy fod angen help llaw…”
En: “Looks like you could use a helping hand…”

Cy: Gwyliodd Geraint, yn anniddig ar y dechrau, ond doedd amser ddim ar ei ochr.
En: Geraint watched, initially uneasy, but time was not on his side.

Cy: Nodiodd, gan benderfynu peidio a chario'r baich ar ei unig.
En: He nodded, deciding not to carry the burden alone.

Cy: Gyda chymorth Carys, a'i hunanimdriniaeth brwdfrydig, dechreuodd yr offer gwella, a thyfodd hyder Geraint.
En: With Carys' help, and her eager, enthusiastic self-reliance, the equipment began to improve, and Geraint's confidence grew.

Cy: Y lensws wedi'u trwsio, roedd y delweddau'n ymddangos, a oedd yn dangos gwir harddwch y sêr wrth eu huno gerllaw solstis y gaeaf.
En: The lenses fixed, the images appeared, showing the true beauty of the stars as they aligned near the winter solstice.

Cy: Ac yna daeth yr amser i gyflwyno.
En: And then the time came to present.

Cy: Tra oedd eraill yn ceisio dal llygad gyda'u strwythurau a'u modelau, siaradodd Geraint yn glir.
En: While others tried to catch the eye with their structures and models, Geraint spoke clearly.

Cy: A dan wres yr hyn a fu ei ofn, derbyniodd ei waith ei hun, syml ond ystyrlon, canmoliaeth arbennig am greadigrwydd a dyfalbarhad.
En: Under the warmth of what had been his fear, he received special praise for creativity and perseverance for his work, simple but meaningful.

Cy: Er nad oedd yn ennill y wobr gyntaf, aeth Geraint i ffwrdd gyda llawenydd mewn ei enaid.
En: Though he didn't win the first prize, Geraint went away with joy in his soul.

Cy: Gwelodd bod gwneud llwyddiant yn golygu mwy na dim ond y derfynfa; roedd yn ymwneud ag aros yn driw i'r hyn oedd yn bwysig iddo.
En: He realized that achieving success meant more than just reaching the finish line; it was about staying true to what mattered to him.

Cy: Trwy gydweithio a pheidio ag ofni gofyn am gymorth, roedd wedi llwyddo i fynd drwy rwystrau, a newidodd rhywbeth yn ei gred.
En: By collaborating and not fearing to ask for help, he had managed to overcome obstacles, and something changed in his belief.

Cy: Wrth i'r bore dod i ben, cerddasant ef a Carys i ffwrdd o'r digwyddiad, yng ngoleuni'r cyfnos, gyda gwyntoedd Nadoligaidd yn chwibanu drwy'r ddeildywyr.
En: As the morning came to an end, he and Carys walked away from the event, in the twilight glow, with Christmas winds whistling through the treetops.
