On September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II passed away.  She was 96 years old and had reigned as Queen of England for 70 years.  Longer than any other ruler in the history of England. She lived an amazing life.
One of the most significant yet lesser-known events of her life occurred in 1955 when BBC television presented a live telecast from Scotland featuring a young American by the name of Billy Graham.  This began a lifelong friendship that made a significant impact on Queen Elizabeth's life and purpose.

Throughout the Bible we see God's hand leading and using many people who began as unknown and seemingly insignificant. Then as they obeyed the Lord they could live lives of tremendous influence.  Just think of Noah, Abraham, Moses, David and the disciples as just a few examples.
But there were also many people who were in a place of great influence and power who were given opportunities to do even greater things, but instead, they messed it up and lost it all.
Today we look at one of the privileged.  A handsome fool.

It seems that everyone I know is feeling like there is never enough time in their day and then they never get enough sleep.  The days are getting shorter, but not by enough to impact our accomplishments.  But what may be happening comes more from exhaustion of our minds that is leaving us feeling overwhelmed.  Today we look at a solution given to us in God's Word

I recently attended a Bible Study that focused on examining our motivation for doing what we do in the church and for God.  It presented some interesting perspectives on why we do what we do.  Today we look at a story about two churches in a small town that were known for their competitive spirit with each other.  I think you will enjoy how the Bible study and the story of the churches fit so well together.

In the book of Habakkuk we find a conversation between Habakkuk and God.  Habakkuk was questioning God about God's seeming indifference to the problems that the people were facing.  It seemed that God was not answering the prayers of his people at a time when they felt they needed Him the most.
