Like many, I've been deeply shaken up by the recent murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and most recently George Floyd, as well as the ensuing protests, riots, and varying levels of responses from community, business, and governmental leaders.
To help everyone better process and figure out how to move forward from here, I invited my close friend Levi Baer back onto the show for a 3rd time.
Levi is Cofounder of Second Shift, a community coworking space in Chicago with inclusion a central part of its mission, as well as the Director of Training at Chicago United for Equity, an organization that works to dismantle systemic racism inside of other organizations and communities.
Part 1 of our discussion focuses mostly on reacting to and processing the recent events, and sharing what we can do on an individual level to heal and move forward.
