State trooper loses his shit with 21-year-old Karen

On January 6, 2023 (03:47 am), I was northbound on Conway Road south of Lake Underhill road when a white Mercedes passed me northbound at a high rate of speed. I visually estimated the vehicle to be traveling between 65 and 70 miles per hour in a posted 40 miles per hour zone. Using my agency issued Stalker DSR 2X radar in rear moving opposite direction mode I received a target speed of 65 miles per hour NA ith a consistent audio doppler tone. I turned around behind the vehicle and got behind it at Curry Ford Road. I began to notice the Mercedes began to swerve left and right within its lane. This pattern of swerving continued from Curry Ford Road until Anderson Street. The Mercedes would swerve from within its lane and on several occasions drifted towards the center median divider nearly coming within close contact with it. The Mercedes also entered the right through lane, on one occasion a black sedan was in the right lane and it almost came in contact with it during it's swerve. I conducted the traffic stop on the Mercedes and it turned onto Gatlin Avenue and into a Church Parking lot. Recruit Trooper Hall and I identified the driver as Olivia ******* **** through her Florida driver license. Olivia eyes were bloodshot and glassy and as she spoke, I could smell the odor of alcoholic beverage as Trooper Hall explained the reasons for the stop. Trooper Hall asked her to step out of the vehicle, which she questioned, then when instructed to again she stepped out. Trooper Hall began a DUI investigation and ascertained that she had consumed alcohol at around 9:00PM and did not have anything to drink after as she is a bartender downtown. Trooper Hall asked her if she would perform field sobriety exercises and she refused. During this time, I was standing behind Trooper Hall and could smell the distinct odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. Olivia refused to perform the field sobriety exercises and was explained safe harbor by Trooper Hall and I she again refused, and we walked back to our patrol car to discuss the events so far. We determined to tow her vehicle based on the driving pattern and the indicators that we observed. She became immediately defiant and began to tell us what was going to happen and what we were going to do. After stepping in I explained to her that she was not going to tell us to do our job and the vehicle as going to be towed. She wanted her mother to come pick up the vehicle however, I explained based on my observations I want to ensure that there is no possibility that she would be in operation of her vehicle after I had left While in my patrol vehicle, briefing Sgt. Hawkins on the situation she wanted to do the exercises. I again explained to her safe harbor and what the consequences of doing the exercises would entail. She did perform the exercises but gave me enough indicators to tow her vehicle from the scene in lieu of going to jail for DUI. I again explained this to her, and she became increasingly defiant. Her mother arrived on scene and even pleaded with her to let the vehicle go and they would file a complaint on me later. At one point while trying to talk to her mother I made a comment about not being able to get a sentence out as she constantly spoke over me. Olivia commented that she would not allow me to speak. Olivia and her mother requested my supervisor and Sgt. Hawkins arrived on scene as she refused to allow Johnsons Wrecker Eastside to tow her vehicle after the operator agreed to tow it to her house for the regulatory fees. Sgt. Hawkins ordered Olivia to be placed under arrest for resisting arrest, interfering with a tow operator and Drunk and Disorderly. While Trooper Hall and I reached over to place her under arrest she pulled away from our grasp and tried to run away from us. Trooper Hall gained physical control of her and she was placed under arrest. Olivia tried to plant herself and use her feet to stop us from placing her in out patrol vehicle. Trooper Hall and I had to lift her off the grand and placed her in my patrol vehicle. Olivia was transported to the Orange County Jail without any issues.
