With Marvel’s history changing event Secret Wars in full effect, we give our thoughts about Secret Wars #2 and what is making it such a success.  Following that theme we close the show with comic book events: the good the bad and the ugly.

Even with a few technically difficulties the show must go on. This week we are joined by Lester Francois and Anna Brady, the directors of the independent video game documentary GAMELOADING – RISE OF THE INDIES. We chat with them about their love for indie games and the trials and tribulations of making a film about them. Then During the comic segment John dishes out all the latest news in the comic book world and reviews the first issue of Marvel’s long awaited Secret Wars event.

Heather gives us an inside look on what its like for a life long Star War fan to work on a Star Wars comic, as well as giving us a little bit of her background and how she got into the business of comic editing. We even manage to sprinkle in a little bit of Deadpool talk. Then to finish up the show we have in depth spoiler filled talk about The Avengers age of Ultron.

We have officially made it to 50 episodes who would’ve thunk it? 50 episodes is a big milestone for us so we thought we would do something special for all You Rifters out there. So we decided to do a Live show from New England comics store in Norwood Ma. Not only is the show live from NEC Norwood its live on free comic book day! One of the most important days of the year! Besides hearing all the madness of a live show in a jam packed comic book store on free comic book day, We review the free comics we picked up, talk about the latest comic news and we even bring Deadpool back from the dead for a segment we like to call dipping in the pool with Deadpool. The show wraps up with an impromptu interview with Jeff McCllelland the current writer of the Tick.
