You could say it's in Guthrie's blood to protect the water. His father, Peter is a 30 year Standing Rock Sioux tribe Environmental Attorney who has seen this issue boil over first hand. In turn Guthrie is the Native American Liaison for Rochester Public Schools and is hands down the Go-To person to speak on this issue in the area.
