Stay Doomed episodes

  • Stay Doomed 123: "The Life of Larry" & "Steve and Larry"
It seems today that all you see is violence and movies and sex on tv. Before Family Guy's triumphant debut in 1999, Seth MacFarlane workshopped LIFE WITH LARRY and LARRY AND STEVE, two shorts with a suspiciously familiar protagonist and his suspiciously familiar talking dog. Join Laura Prince and Noah Houlihan as they uncover the earliest traces of the animated juggernaut. Do these shorts hold up in reflection of Seth MacFarlane's magnum opus? Or should all things Larry STAY DOOMED?

  • Stay Doomed 122: To Riverdale and Back Again

This is it, graverobbers: the episode Laura has been waiting for.  It's time for Laura Prince and Noah Houlihan to take you TO RIVERDALE AND BACK AGAIN! That's right, today they're attacking the 1990 made-for-TV movie.  Before Riverdale made Archie and the gang angsty, sexy twentysomethings playing teenagers, To Riverdale and Back again made Archie and the gang....angsty, sexy twentysomethings playing thirtysomethings.  Will Archie save Pop's Chock'lit Shop?  Or will their beloved hangout and this attempt to kickstart a franchise STAY DOOMED?

  • Stay Doomed 118: Super Mario Bros. Morton-Jankel Cut

In 1993, video game movies didn't have a reputation for being bad. In fact, they didn't have a reputation at all. Then SUPER MARIO BROS came along, creating the first video game-based live-action Hollywood release, and also the first video game movie to be critically panned. In 2021, the dedicated filmmakers of Super Mario Bros: The Movie Archive obtained access to a workprint and painstakingly crafted the MORTON-JANKEL CUT. Join Laura Prince and Noah Houlihan on their adventure in Brooklyn and Dino-Hattan. Will this new version take the cult classic out of the movie mausoleum? Or will the film STAY DOOMED?
