Todays show is about when you get your calling. Some call it self actualization. I wanted to do a show on this to prelude all of the other things that are about to go down in crazy town. On my way home a religious lady in the community stopped me in my car. She went on to tell me how she wanted me to give testimony at a meeting this weekend. She also discussed how church elders weren't so kind to her being in the ministry and a female. Here will be my thoughts on that ....on this show.

Manic Monday is upon us. I am overly excited that I got to speak to a fellow social media person today. We spoke extensively about the condition of our culture, our men, our women and our children. He will make his appearance on my show in the month of November. We are also getting the show schedule together. I read your comments, emails, and social media. 2017 is about to be upon us and I dont want to let the rest of 2016 go by without responding to some of the most heartfelt and influential posts of yours of 2016. Tonight I will respond to my recent convo with the likes of a well respected Black man in his industry.

Todays show is a question that popped into my inbox last week. It was asked by a male follower of mine. YES...sometimes MEN ask me questions because they are trying to figure out their woman. Although I appreciate the dialogue, there are certain things a woman of a certain nature should know already. Perhaps if we stopped making excuses and overlooking things we could date LESS, have more connections and less misunderstandings. Dating is an exploratory chapter. Certain chapters dont last forever.

I will be sharing a complexing situation on my show tonight. As a rule I usually post things that are NOT about me. You can twist it any way you like, most of my status updates are about the things I see online, my inbox or that people speak to me about PRIVATELY or in person. Sharing those things makes MY personal burdens easier to carry sometimes. Tonight is one of those nights. I am very honored that men, women and young adults have come to me for advice. Its not always what is right but it is always whats hoest and true to ME.

Today is #tellthetruthtuesday 6 months ago I did a show on Derrick Jaxn. He was a self professed ,"self love ambassador" HOW? He recently posted a picture of his newborn baby. His followers were exited yet shocked because theres no photos of a wife or relationship. I get that part. What I dont get is why you scrubbed your pages clean of images that women snapshotted? Like the time you said a man doesnt hide his family....then you did...to your fans. Then there is the issue that your main consumer is low self esteem Black women. Women that need to be told the obvious like... youre beautiful,you're a queen and youre appreciated.

Tonight I will be playing my other 2 favorite songs by Solange. They are the reason for my melancholy posts on social media. I respect her process, her grind and her honesty to herself and her craft. It took her 8 years to release ,"Cranes in the Sky". The latter is actually my favorite track. I want to talk about some of her verbiage and some of her issues. I am always excited to share new shit with yall. Im not always the angry Black girl you think I am. I really dont have shit to be mad about. Pun fully intended.

Tonights show is about epiphanies. There were several to be had over the last 2 weeks, really 30 days. After my trip to Atlanta to visit family WITH my family I learned some other things. Recently I had to change what I was spelling out into the universe. Literally, that day things changed. People dont realize how powerful words are. For me to be such an advocate of words and what I say I was asking for the wrong things. That has been corrected. After a trip I am usually still cloudy or drifting mentally. At this time I am more focused than ever, waiting on my next trip with one of my young queens. When I have nothing to say I dont improvise. When I have plenty to say, I say it. This is what this show is for.

Literally 2 days ago I did a post about Black Love. NOT that no other love matters BUT in recent times it has been difficult to find examples in real life and media of BLACK LOVE. There is The Notebook but Black peoples equivalent of that is The Color Purple. That love wasnt even between spouses it was between sisters in The Color Purple. Then it happened.... #foreverduncan I watched the footage. I did not cry. It is not MY display of love. I almost was cynical then I remembered as a journalist what was FACT. FACT...he proposed at noon. FACT he married her at 6pm. FACT they were abstinent. FACT he planned the entire wedding. FACT it was a surprise for her. FACT she wore black. FACT he arranged everything from makeup to transportation. FACT they are not rich. FACT she is a fitness trainer and he does music voiceovers for a television show. He is also a musician. I want to talk about this mythical thing we call Black love. Perhaps the reason we rejected this notion and imagery is because we have never seen it before.

Tell the truth Tuesday...the Toronto aftermath. I cant tell you how disrespectful folk are sometimes. What I can tell you is why it wont happen again. YOU got me phucked up.

Its not Tuesday but I still want to do my TTT show. If I wanted to I could do a show 7 days a week. Not having time, content or patience prohibits me from doing that. I had so much to say yesterday but I was invited to an event and obliged. Today I dont want to touch on the recent killings of Black men by the police, but I am likely going to. As a mother I dont like having to explain to my son things these men did to get killed...most times it was NOTHING.
