Stayin' Alive with Jesse Smith

Welcome back to another episode of Stayin' Alive with Jesse Smith.

Today’s guest is a brilliantly talented singer, songwriter and musician from my hometown – Reading. We grew up together and it’s been brilliant to watch his career unfold and see his hard work come to fruition. Today’s episode is a keyhole in the music industry of TODAY, to see how band’s like Only The Poets a making a name for themselves whilst currently still independent artists.

When the Corona Virus pandemic hit, the boys were on tour supporting Louis Tomlinson from One Direction which was a huge gig and a real shame it was cut short but hopefully they’ll be back out on the road with him when it’s safe to do so.

Please welcome to Stayin' Alive, Tommy Longhurst.

Welcome to Episode #2 of Stayin' Alive with Jesse Smith; a podcast about how to stay afloat in the ever changing ocean that is the creative arts industry.

Today’s guest is a pop-rock starlet and singing sensation! She has written some of the biggest hits of the 80s including Heart and Soul, Valentine and China in Your Hand. Her band TPau’s first album Bridge of Spies went quadruple platinum in the UK and they continue to tour and play festival shows to this day. Their brand new single ‘Be Wonderful’ along with a ‘lockdown video’ is OUT NOW so go and check that out after the pod.

Speaking to me in-between gins and tonics from her home in Henley - today’s guest is the very brilliant - Carol Decker.
