What happened last week you ask? Well, the Rona finally got an episode. But we linked up in the Skype studio and did it again, so here you have it, Episode 356 Redux deep in the midst of a pandemic. We discuss racism in the time of Corona. The continuing upswing in Corona cases. We end up having a random safer sex discussion.  We discuss how, in spite of the pandemic, 2020 hasn’t been the worst year. Walmart is fully out and Target all the way end (until we find out Target has done something terrible). We have a brief discussion on some social conventions that need to change during the pandemic. Tee finally joins Reddit and enjoys it, for the most part. Work from home life has greatly expanded Dan’s tv viewing and he’s preparing for more. Speaking of work from home, three of the four of us now work from home on a permanent basis, and well, its exciting, but also jarring. We take a look at the idea of businesses reopening during the pandemic and why doing so is trash. The Washington Football team is finally going to change its truly awful name and all it took, was money. And finally, we wrap it up, with a bit of, AITA!!

We hit the ground running this ep because the week we recorded it was a week of great change. Tee runs through a list of things that should have already been gone but made it to 2020 before getting the boot. We discuss the goings on at Bon Appetit, their former EIC and how Black and People of Color suffered mistreatment there. In the midst of that discussion we got some sports racism. Policing in this country is in need of reform. We discuss why, and how that reformation would work when compared to the present. BIPOC, where did that come from? Does it function like it should with many POC’s experience being very different than Black people?  Dan describes his first outing in a partially reopened state. We have begun backing away from various social media platforms. For this week’s AITA, The Podfather himself chimes in with a story from his past. We then hit a couple of AITA’s from Reddit and decide who’s the asshole and why.

We continue to deal with the ramifications of black death at the hands of the state. The police are of course rioting During these times of course there are many, who just can’t keep their mouth shut. But also, it’s a time for learning and many people are figuring it out and recognizing what hasn’t been taught and shared. We ask, what would you ask of your allies?  Ant continues to grow as a parent but some days are more challenging than others. Tee continues to work on his diet. Gabe’s in-laws are, well, just let him tell you. Tee reads a couple more AITA’s from Reddit. We continue to depend on art to get us through lockdown and discuss what shows and films we have been watching.

The streaming service war rumbles on. Tee makes a new segment, White People Being Awful. We discuss the Murder of George Floyd at the hands of police. The murder of Breonna Taylor at the hands of the police. Gabe gets a puppy (I know, we were surprised too) Work in a time of Rona is starting to take its toll. We all give our general Rona life updates. This one starts and hell to be real goes hard for pretty much the entire episode. I think we were all just sick of lockdown life and has to get some stuff off the chest. The current White House occupant is using his bully pulpit to mail American’s election propaganda. States are opening to soon. The false, paid for protestors are walking around toting weapons and aren’t facing armed and riot shielded responders like many protestors of a darker shade do when protesting peacefully. Ant’s oldest may have had some outside influence in his developing pop culture vernacular. We probably been cleaning as well as we do now the whole time. We try and dig up some quarantine good vibes.  We give our weekly quarantine update. We don’t want to return to the office now. We discuss the fallacy of the “6 month cushion” and the finances of the work from home life. Box wants to get better at snap decision making but he’s a born researcher sometimes to his detriment
