Season 17, Episode 25 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers losing to the New England Patriots, 20-3, on Sunday.

Alex and I discuss the team's perceived health coming out of their second regular-season game in addition to going over the seven players who were inactive for that contest, one of which was once again CB Joey Porter Jr.

The Steelers offense really looked pitiful on Sunday against the Patriots, so we start on that side of the football as part of our game recap. We discuss WR DK Metcalf and his drops, the lack of explosive plays on Sunday, and the running game remaining flat overall through two games.

Will the Steelers trim down their offensive playbook moving into Week 3? Should there be any personnel changes on the offensive line this coming week? Alex and I attempt to answer those two questions and several more concerning the offense as we move along in this show.

The play of rookie WR Germie Bernard was perhaps the most positive thing we saw offensively for the Steelers on Sunday, so we make sure to give him a few props during this show. We also discuss OG Spencer Anderson as perhaps being the weakest link on the Steelers offensive line through the first two games of the 2026 regular season.

Alex and I also discuss the lack of mobility that Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers is showing and how that certainly isn’t helping the offense.

While the Steelers defense certainly played well enough on Sunday for the team to win, the unit still allowed six explosive plays to the Patriots. We discuss a few of those big plays allowed on Sunday and a few other key plays made on defense against the Patriots.

The Steelers special teams play against the Patriots certainly wasn’t why the team lost on Sunday, but that phase of the team certainly didn’t do anything to help produce more points on the scoreboard. We go over the good and bad from those units against the Patriots.

Once we are done breaking down the Steelers' loss to the Patriots, Alex and I discuss the latest reports concerning Porter. We go over what Tracy Wolfson had to say about Porter ahead of Sunday's game and whether this week will be a watershed moment for the team when it comes to them possibly drawing a line in the sand with him. Would Porter's side have a good grievance case should the Steelers attempt to claim that Porter's conduct is detrimental to the team? Should they just ask Porter on Wednesday if he's going to play in Week 3 and go from there? We attempt to answer those few questions concerning Porter.

Season 17, Episode 24 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the latest concerning Pittsburgh Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr. on the heels of his leaving practice early on Thursday.

Did the Steelers make a mistake initially with Porter in placing him on the Active/PUP list? What is Porter's endgame goal now? Is he following the Jalen Ramsey playbook from 2021 at this point? Can the Steelers trade Porter at this point? Should placing Porter on the Reserve/Injured list at this point be considered a legitimate option? Season 17, Episode 23 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing a few things that Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike McCarthy had to say during his Monday press conference. McCarthy was asked quite a few questions about the status of CB Joey Porter Jr. moving forward so we mostly focus on that part of his Monday press conference.

The Steelers brought in two free agent tackles for visits on Tuesday, so we make sure to hit that bit of minor news early in this show. We also discuss what we think the overall health outlook is for the Steelers heading into Week 2.

In the middle of this show, Alex and I get into talking about what the all-22 tape from the Steelers Week 1 win against the Atalanta Falcons revealed to both of us. We start on the defensive side of the football with our tape review and discuss the outstanding play of ILB Payton Wilson against the Falcons in addition to several other players on that unit that stuck out in positive ways.

The Steelers had three outside linebackers on the field for quite a few plays against the Falcons and because of that, Alex breaks down when they snaps came and likely why we saw those personal groupings as often as we did.

After finishing our tape reviews of the defense, Alex and I turn our collective attention to what we saw and learned about the Steelers offense against the Falcons. We focus on the overall play of the offensive line, both in the running game and passing game, and then move on from there.

We talk a little about what we saw from Steelers WR Roman Wilson in Week 1 and how QB Aaron Rodgers attempted to push the football down the field against the Falcons on Sunday.

Why there were several positives to takeaways from the Steelers offensive performance in Week 1, the advanced analytics in all the main categories still need to get better moving into the team's Week 2 game against the New England Patriots.

Alex and I go over a few quick thoughts about the Steelers’ special teams play against the Falcons as we begin to wrap up this episode.
