Kayla Norville is a brand new STEM Coordinator at a middle school in rural North Carolina. She's also the founder of Bright in the Middle, which specializes in creating engaging middle school science activities. Kayla also has a Ph.D. in Learning and Teaching in STEM Education, with a focus in science education.

As a STEM Coordinator, she's working to help her school become a STEM School of Distinction in NC by focusing on standards-based STEM in non-STEM content areas and STEM content area classrooms.
