  • Lying to Yourself
Steph Something, Massimo De Agostini and Robbin Lace
    Lying to Yourself
Once again honesty has broken everything
But it’s a cruel, cruel thing to keep
    Someone assuming
But you are uncomfortable with the truth
And it makes no goddamn sense to me
    Oh, you just keep
    Lying to yourself
    Lying to me
    Pretending you’re okay
    Pretending that you’re happy
    Lying to yourself
    Lying to me
    Pretending you’re okay
    Pretending that you’re happy
(Making me look like the fool for telling you the truth)
    You let me get close
Lured me with somedays and I believes
But never close enough to let me be
    Completely me and it
Makes not goddamn sense to me
Oh, then why so much melancholy, baby
    Oh, you keep
    Lying to yourself
    Lying to me
    Pretending you’re okay
    Pretending that you’re happy
    Lying to yourself
    Lying to me
    Pretending you’re okay
    Pretending that you’re happy

  • Lay Bare My Heart
    Steph Something & Matt Kaprelian
    I meant
Every word of what I said, I will
    Not stay and keep
    Bleeding slowly, and let
    You dismiss my truth as
    Merely some daydream, because
You're too afraid to face yourself
    And me
    I lay bare my heart
Giving you the power to destroy
Because I trusted you to tell me the truth
It was a risk I had to take on you
    So it seems
You have a decision to make
I will not be here much longer
So, if you have something you want to say
    It's now or never, because
I cannot keep myself locked away
    Waiting around for you
To finally take a leap of faith
    I lay bare my heart
Giving you the power to destroy
Because I trusted you to tell me the truth
It was a risk I had to take on you

  • Why Didn't You Run
Steph Something, Alex Bevacqua, Jochen Fleischmann
    You had the perfect out
    But you didn't run
    You stuck around
    But for what
    To listen to me
    Cry and scream
    To watch me go
    Completely crazy
    Why didn't you run
    Why didn't you run
If you don't want to show your face
Why in the hell did you stay
    You get me high
    To shoot me down
    You get me high
    To shoot me down
    Take my hand to throw
    Me to the ground
    You get me high
    To shoot me down
    Are you having fun
    Are you having fun
    Let me feel around
Until I get my nail stuck in your yarn
    Are you having fun
    Why didn't you run
    Are you having fun
    Why didn't you run
    Are you having fun
    Why didn't you run
    Are you having fun
    Why didn't you run

  • One Of My Kind
Wawa (Jochen Fleischmann) & Steph Something
    One Of My Kind
    I’ve got a feeling I can’t seem to shake
After a life of bad luck it seems that things are finally gonna be okay
I begged the heavens, please send somebody down here for me
And out of nowhere you appeared, well, could it be
    I don’t know if it’s divine
I just know that you’re one of my kind
Shuffling through years of melancholic years in a strange world
Taking it step by step but feeling like an alien in a place I used to call home
Having no connection feels like having no skin
All alone, uncomfortable, with nowhere to fit in
    I don’t know if it’s divine
I just know that you’re one of my kind
    You’re one of my kind
    You’re one of my kind
    You’re one of my kind

  • The End
Steph Something - Composition, Melody, Lyrics, Vocals, Guitar
    Mitch Brody - Production
    Alex Bevacqua - Drums
    Pierre Corriveau - Bass
    Thomas Hines - Lead Guitar
    The End
I can't make sense of it anymore
The world is not the same
    People lost their humanity
    The ocean's always angry
    The sun leans in
    Shadows move without bodies
    Whispers fall heavier than screams
    No sound remains
Only the hum of an ending
    A silence so sharp
    It cuts through thought
    I open my eyes
    But there is no I
Only the echo of something that used to be
    And the echo whispers
This was always how it was gonna be
    The sky slips its skin
    Revealing veins of static
    And colors that shouldn't exist
Mountains melt into rivers that flow upwards
    Cities fold like paper
    Swallowed by the void
    Language collapses
    Words unravel
    Mid sentence
    No sound remains
Only the hum of an ending
    A silence so sharp
    It cuts through thought
    I open my eyes
    But there is no I
Only the echo of something that used to be
    And the echo whispers
This was always how it was gonna be
    I reach for my hand
    But it isn't mine anymore
    Fingers stretch like shadows
    Graspin' at nothing
    Graspin' at everything
And still the sun leans closer
And closer until the world screams in light
    And then there is
    No world at all
    No sound remains
Only the hum of an ending
    A silence so sharp
    It cuts right through thought
    I open my eyes
    But there is no I
Only the echo of something that used to be
    And the echo whispers
This was always how it was gonna be

  • Ships
Steph Something - Composition, Lyrics, Melody, Vocals, Guitar
Alex Bevacqua - Drums, Bass, Production
    The greatest communicator
When you want to be around
    Notes in the refrigerator
    Running, running, running, running down
    The stairs
You burst through the door and say
You've been stuck in here too many days now
    You said, get up
    You said, get up
    We are going out
    Right now
I said you look like a diamond
And you went and put my face all over the place
    I ask questions in threes
Sometimes you sleep beneath the trees
You're really good at getting lost
When you don't want to be found
    But you'll come back
    And one time you did
    You smelled like shit
And I laughed so hard I cried
    While you explained why
    And I didn't care, I just remember
    Being so fucking happy
    To see you
I said you look like a diamond
And you went and put my face all over the goddamn place
    I ask questions in threes
Sometimes you sleep beneath the trees
Always scheming spaceman with a grin
Always scheming spaceman with a tin rocket ship
And I'll have an ocean of cardboard cutout waves
    In the backyard
    Because sailors and spacemen
They have to have their ships
    And I really like
    Seeing you

  • You Left Your Light For Me
    SS - Vocals
    Matt Kaprelian - Instrumental
    Mitch Brody - Guitars
You, you left your light, you left your light
You left your light for me
You left your light, left your light for me
You left your light so I could see what you could see
    Well I know
I know you had to go
    And I don’t blame you
Cause this party's dry as a bone
But you left your light for me
    I know
You figured out how we were meant to live
And you got to go somewhere better for it
And you left your light so I could see what you could see
Cause you weren’t going to leave me here
In this misery alone too long
    I know
    But all this time
    I thought I
Was here to keep you safe
    I thought you needed me
Oh but it turns out that I’m the one who needed you
I’d be lost in the dark
If I didn’t know your heart
I’d be lost in the dark
Without the light of love from your heart
    You left your light
    To show me
    How you got out
    To show me
    How to get out too
    I thought
    I was to teach you
    But you left your light
    To get me through
Cause I’m the one who needed you

  • What Did I Ever Do
Steph Something - Composition, Lyrics, Melody, Guitars, Vocals
Jochen Fleischmann - Drums, Bass, Synths, Mix
    In memory of my sister,
    Amelia Nicole Gilliard
    1982 - 2025
I miss you and love you forever
    What Did I Ever Do
    Can you turn it off
There's only so much a person can take
    Do you think a heart
    Can physically break
    Just when I think
    That I could be happy
    The sky opens up
    And sucks somebody up
    But this time
    It got the only one
    I thought I'd have
    Forever
    Now my days are filled
With breakdowns from a wound that can't heal
    Take it away
Whatever it is that makes me feel
    Just when I think
    That I could be happy
    The sky opens up
    And sucks somebody up
    But this time
    It got the only one
    I thought I'd have
    Forever
    I don't
Think that I can do this
    Without her
What did I ever do to the heavens
    What did I ever do
    To the sky
