Passion, determination, dedication, focus, challenge. These qualities have remained consistent throughout Randy Bachman’s lengthy and remarkable career. He is a legendary figure in the music world through his talents as a guitarist, songwriter, performer, record producer and mentor. As founder of two formidable rock bands, The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Randy has accrued over 120 platinum, gold and silver album/singles awards from around the world. His songwriting has garnered the coveted #1 spot on radio play lists in over 20 countries and his total record sales exceed 40 million albums and singles.

​Randy’s distinctive brand of guitar-driven, no-holds-barred hard rock is instantly recognized worldwide.

​Randy’s music is a veritable soundtrack of the last forty years of popular music. “These Eyes”, “Laughing”, “Undun”, “No Time”, “American Woman” and “No Sugar Tonight” with The Guess Who all resonate with the Bachman touch. Between 1969 and 1970, The Guess Who sold more records than the entire Canadian music industry combined with the Bachman-Cummings songwriting team becoming the most celebrated partnership in Canadian music to that point. The Guess Who brought Randy’s music to North America.

​He followed that with “Let it Ride”, “Roll on Down The Highway”, “Takin' Care of Business”, “Looking Out For #1”, “Hey You” and “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet” with Bachman-Turner Overdrive, taking his name and hit-making abilities worldwide. In 1974, BTO was the biggest-selling recording act in popular music.​

Randy also stands in rarified air as a member of a very exclusive handful of artists who have topped the charts in two different bands: “American Woman” (co-written by Randy) with The Guess Who and “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” (composed wholly by Randy) as leader and singer with Bachman-Turner Overdrive. In addition, “No Sugar Tonight”, written by Randy, was a double A-sided #1 hit paired with “American Woman”.

​Randy’s songs have been recorded by a wide spectrum of artists including Lenny Kravitz’ version of “American Woman” which topped the charts 29 years after the original, as well as appearing on television and movie soundtracks including Seinfeld, The Simpsons, American Beauty, and Austin Powers 2. He has been animated on the SIMPSONS and is listed in the Guinness Book of Worlds Records.

Randy Bachman’s name is synonymous with the guitar. The instrument is an extension of who he is and he is rarely far away from a guitar. His playing has earned the respect and admiration of the finest guitar practitioners, many of whom have sought him out both as a kindred spirit and collaborator. Since first picking up the instrument in his teen years in Winnipeg, Canada and teaching himself to play, the guitar has been Randy’s first love. He was fortunate early on to be mentored by one of the greatest guitar players of all time, the legendary Lenny Breau. Those tutorials from Breau served Randy well allowing him to develop a versatility that is the envy of his contemporaries. 

​In 2006, Randy paid tribute his mentor by recording his acclaimed Jazz Thing album which, through digital technology, allowed Randy to duet with hero. To honour Lenny Breau’s legacy, Randy founded Guitarchives Records whose goal has been to rescue and release otherwise lost Breau recordings.

Randy’s career has been built on his indomitable drive and dedication to music. Never content to rest on his stellar laurels, Randy has consistently reinvented himself. He has released albums, in a variety of genres and styles throughout his career, from hard rock to blues, country, and jazz.

Caperton is an Actor, Producer and Stuntman. He is the Managing Partner and an Executive Producer at Bitter End Media Group in Los Angeles California which develops properties for feature films and documentaries. In 2016 Caperton and his partner Mark Burman produced "Dog Eat Dog", directed by 4 time Oscar winner Paul Schrader and starring fellow Oscar winners Nicolas Cage and Willum Defoe. "Dog" premiered worldwide at the "Cannes International Film Festival" and won the "Directors Fortnight" Award! "Dog" opened in theaters nationwide on November 8th.

In the same year, this great duo also produced the multiple award-winning documentary "South Bureau Homicide" based on the Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Precinct. In September Sony Television signed a deal to develop "South Bureau" into a dramatic television series. Caperton and his team are currently developing several projects including a film based on the book "Devils Soldier" by Caleb Carr and have attached Oscar-winning Director Antoine Fuqua.

Also an actor, Caperton has appeared alongside such actors as Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell, Curt Russel, Kate Hudson, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, Brad Pitt, and many others in blockbuster films such as "Deepwater Horizon", "The Big Short", "Daddy's Home" and many more. Caperton also had a reoccurring part on "NCIS New Orleans" for two seasons.

Caperton began his career in 1984 at ABC News in Los Angeles covering and producing stories for "World News Tonight", "Nightline", "20/20" and "Good Morning America". In 1986 Caperton won an Emmy Award and a Los Angeles Press Club Award for his coverage of the Mexico City Earthquake. Years later in 2015, Caperton's team produced the TV movie "The Heart of Christmas" which was nominated for an Emmy Award.

Caperton is the Producer of the dramatic urban crime series "Be Someone" staring Tisha Campbell-Martin, Jamal Dennis, Khalil Kain, and others which will premier in Fall 2021. He also makes a brief appearance in the show as Captain Johnson. After many years in Los Angeles, Caperton now lives in his hometown of Houston Texas.

Josh Turner’s most treasured childhood holiday memories are of listening to Randy Travis’ “An Old Time  Christmas,” as it was the soundtrack to the holiday season in his Hannah, SC home. When Turner set out  to record his first Christmas album “King Size Manger,” Travis’ country Christmas collection was his  guidepost.

Jordan is an actor, screenwriter, host and public speaker based out of Dallas, TX. He was born in 1990 in Arlington, TX, 2 months premature. This led to several medical issues - specifically minor cerebral palsy, severe scoliosis & even more severe asthma. Because of these conditions, Jordan spent much of his early life in and out of hospitals, undergoing countless medical procedures. Unlike other children, Jordan was never able to play sports or overexert himself. So, he was forced to find other hobbies. He was 6 when he discovered his love for acting after being cast in a local production of A Christmas Carol (playing Tiny Tim). By the time he was 16, Jordan had appeared in over 40 professional productions throughout Texas and California. He ventured into the film/TV when he was 12 - following in his grandpa's footsteps - actor Barry Corbin. Jordan is currently a series regular on The Chosen - the largest crowd-funded project of all-time! He is also a key antagonist in the upcoming historical drama, Washington’s Armor and has several other projects in various stages of development. His past credits include guest starring roles in TV shows such as Nickelodeon's Just Jordan, HBO's True Blood & Comedy Central's Reno 911, in addition to several inducement films.

The Josie Music Awards is a brand of The Josie Music Association, LLC owned by the highly respected partnership team of Josie Passantino and Tinamarie Passantino.  The Josie Music Awards is the largest, all-genre, privately-owned award show globally.  This team set out and successfully created an award show where winners are selected on their talent, skill, material, professionalism, and more and NOT by button pressing voting.  Nominee suggestions go through a lengthy review process by a team of industry leaders and the official nomination list is created from their final decisions.  Winners are also selected by this industry leader deciding panel.

The Josie Music Awards is an all-genre music award show ceremony which includes a lavish red carpet and many performances.  Since its inaugural celebration in 2015, the Josie Music Awards was, is, and remains the largest independent artist award show globally.  Certainly, the most gala from the red carpet to the breathtaking venues the award show has been held in such as The Gaylord Opryland Resort "The Springs" building and the world-renowned Schermerhorn Symphony Center Concert Hall, The Nissan Stadium (all located in Nashville, Tennessee) ,  The Celebrity Theater in Dollywood (Pigeon Forge, Tennessee), and the Country Tonite Theatre (Pigeon Forge, Tennessee).  Thousands of people from around the globe attend such as independent artists, songwriters, record labels, talent agencies, promotion companies, producers, engineers, management companies, press, music industry businesses, family/friends/fans, spectators, and more come out each year to enjoy the performances, award recognition, and the elaborate celebration.   
The Josie Music Awards was created solely to celebrate those in the independent music industry that work so hard every day and deserve to have a night of their own.  This night is not only a celebration, it is also an outstanding way to connect with others in the industry and be seen by some of the top names/companies in the business.  The EXPOSURE can not be beat or matched!


Past Award Show Celebrations:
2015:  We are so thankful for the amazing response to our very first award show.  We outgrew our large venue so many times we had to add two shows in one day.  This is an award show to celebrate the hard work of amazing independent artists.  This award show is for the artists!  Artists will NOT be asked to sell anything, pay to be a part of this event, or have to ask for votes to be celebrated when they celebrate with Josie, The Josie Show, and Country Blast Radio (all owned by Josie Passantino and Tina Passantino).  We have filled this night with award celebrations, meaningful readings from the artist's fans, and fun performances.  The Lifetime Musical Achievement Award was presented to Razzy Bailey who was in attendance to accept his award.

2016:  We had an incredible event this year at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee!  Make sure to stop by the gallery tab to take a look!  This year was packed with music artists in all genres from around the world.  The night included red carpet photos, red carpet interviews by Casie Mason, radio station interviews, red carpet reception performances, an outstanding ceremony with 81 award presentations, and concert event with 38 performances!  The award presentations included a Lifetime Musical Achievement Award for Vern Gosdin (Accepted by Beverly Gosdin).

His career began in earnest when a young John Elefante auditioned as the new lead singer and keyboardist for Kansas, in 1981. That year, the band was one of the top-grossing concert acts in the world and Elefante had never been in a band apart from his family. Although several of the top vocalists of the day applied for the job (e.g. Sammy Hagar, Doug Pinnick, Jim Stafford), Elefante received the part.

Elefante sang the lead vocals and performed keyboards on two Kansas albums. He was also a major songwriting contributor (along with lead guitarist/keyboardist/songwriter Kerry Livgren). On 1982's Vinyl Confessions, he co-wrote and sang the No. 4 Billboard Mainstream Rock hit, "Play the Game Tonight". He also wrote the acoustic-based classic "Chasing Shadows", along with the Top 40 single, "Right Away". The next year, on the following album, Drastic Measures, he wrote the early MTV favorite, "Fight Fire with Fire", which remains the band's highest charting single at No. 3 (Mainstream Rock) as well as a staple of Kansas' live shows to this day. Elefante was also responsible for "Everybody's My Friend," which was released as the second single from the album and reached No. 34 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

Around this time the band began to buckle under the increasing strain of maintaining the consistent radio hits and record company commercial expectations. In addition, contemporary pop music was quickly becoming antithetical to the band’s organic, sophisticated aesthetic. A new age of sequenced synthesizers and drum machines confronted Kansas with the near-impossible challenge of maintaining their musical essence and commercial integrity. In 1984, on the retrospective collection The Best of Kansas, Elefante wrote the album's one new track, "Perfect Lover". That same year Elefante, Kerry Livgren, and Dave Hope left Kansas.

In 1985, "Young and Innocent" appeared on the soundtrack to St. Elmo's Fire and was credited to "Elefante" as a collaborative effort by brothers John and Dino Elefante.

1985–1989
Elefante discovered another calling while still with Kansas—record producer. In 1984, he produced Perfect Timing for ground-breaking Southern California group, Sweet Comfort Band. While not a major commercial success, Petra’s Back to the Street was a Grammy-nominated, breakthrough, commercial success for both Elefante and the band. He also contributed songwriting, keyboards, background vocals and engineering to the effort.

With both John and Dino Elefante as the band’s primary producers, Petra's already popular Christian pop/rock niche was given a timely boost. Their accolades include multiple gold albums, 10 consecutive CCM Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards, induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Hard Rock Cafe, and the only artist to ever have four albums in the SoundScan top-100 Christian chart.

In 1987 while producing a various artists album called California Metal, the album's production team of John and Dino Elefante ended up one track short and they decided to add a song written for Kansas called "Wasn't It Love" (originally entitled "What About Love") under the name Mastedon. Regency later requested a full-length album which became Mastedon's debut, It's a Jungle Out There.

Closing out the decade, Elefante had produced five major label albums, and performed on 12. Over the next five years, Elefante worked at an almost frenetic pace as one of the most in-demand producers in Nashville. In addition to Petra's further releases, he worked as the producer on 30 other albums. He usually performed on the releases as well, often sharing songwriting credits, as well. Elefante was committed to his role as producer, eschewing other opportunities such as an offer to replace Bobby Kimball as lead singer for Grammy winners, Toto.

Gary Chapman (born August 19, 1957 in Waurika, Oklahoma) is an American singer/songwriter and former television talk show host.

The son of an Assemblies of God pastor, Gary Chapman grew up in De Leon, Texas. He performed in bands throughout high school and college. After college, he moved to Nashville and was hired as bass player for The Rambos. In 1979, his song "Father's Eyes" was recorded as the title track to Amy Grant's second album. In 1982, his song "Finally" recorded by T.G. Sheppard reached #1 on the country music charts. He also received a Dove Award as Songwriter of the Year from the Gospel Music Association. That same year, he married Grant.

During the rest of the 1980s and the early 1990s, Chapman continued to write, record, and produce music, while touring as an opening act and bass player for Grant. His career reached new heights in the mid 1990s. He was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album in 1994. The Light Inside also resulted in a Dove Award nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year. and also yielded a Contemporary Christian Music chart #1 song, "Sweet Glow of Mercy." He won a second Dove Award in 1994 for co-producing the album, Songs From The Loft, featuring various artists.

In April 1996, Chapman was honored as Male Vocalist of the Year by the GMA. His 1996 album, Shelter, delivered another #1, "One of Two," with "Man After Your Own Heart" resulting in a Dove Award for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year and being featured on the Dove Award winning Special Event Album of the Year, My Utmost For His Highest. Shelter also received a 1997 Grammy nomination for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.

In 1996, Chapman was selected as the host of The Nashville Network’s music and talk show, "Prime Time Country." The show experienced improved ratings, but was canceled in 1999.

At the 1998 Dove Awards, his album featuring other artists, Hymns From The Ryman, won Country Album Of The Year.

Growing up in Memphis, Tn. "The Birthplace of Rock & Roll", it should come as no surprise that Jay chose a career in music.  From his early days participating in plays, musicals and church cantatas, Jay is used to being on stage in the spotlight.  Even in his early adulthood, he worked in nightclubs and bars, where music remained a BIG part of his life.  After his family bar (which featured live music) closed, he began singing in a local cover band, where he honed his talent.  In 2017 he began working in the studio with Grammy nominated producer, Justin Rimer on his original music.  In April 2018 he released his debut album "Country Boy Proud".  He took his love for both country and rock, combined the two and created his own sound that he calls Headbanging Country.  in 2020 Jay Jones was nominated for Southern Rock Group Of The Year and Southern Rock Vocalist Of The Year for The Josie Music Awards.  Jay is set to re-release his full album in September 2021 along with the video release of "Country Boy Proud".
