The episode started off with Michaela & Zach and Bao & Johnny who were very happy with their blindly selected spouses and exuded so much joy on their wedding day and tea ceremony. We all agreed that we are rooting for their happiness and marriages to make it to the final days.

Michaela was absolutely STUNNING as she walked down the aisle and our only hope is that she will not be too much for Zach to handle - Praying to the MAFS gods that she learns to see her new marriage as a 'we project' of compromise and not a 'all about me project' of having her way all the time.

Today the crew picks up where the internet left off, dragging a young man who earns 100K more than his teacher girlfriend and invites her on an expensive vacation. He does not offer to help with her expenses or even acknowledge her general discomfort. He ask and the internet responds, is he the asshole? We think he is.

Hello. My girlfriend, myself, my parents, and my brother and his wife all went on vacation in another country a week ago. My brother and I were the ones who did most of the planning of the itinerary although we did ask everyone else for input. For background, I make around $150,000k as an IT consultant, my girlfriend is a teacher making $45,000k. My parents are pretty affluent as well as my brother and sister in law.

My girlfriend knew this trip was coming up and took on a second job waitressing on the weekends for several months to get ready for it. We have always split things 50/50 in the 2 years we have been together. There were a few times on the vacation when she did not go on outings with us- wine tasting/scuba diving/etc. She also would only eat 2 meals a day, simply stating that she was on a budget. My family does favor more high-end (*expensive*) places. My parents thought it was very strange that she only eats 2 meals a day although normally she eats 3.

When we got home I asked her why she skipped out on several of the outings and only ate 2 meals a day- I mentioned how I heard her stomach growling one night and said I was concerned about her having an eating disorder. She got teary eyed and said that 3 meals a day wasn't fiscally feasible for her and neither were the outings that she chose not to go on (she went on 3 of 6 outings). She said she was not expecting everything to cost so much and she was overwhelmed.

She also said she doesn't know if this is going to work long term if she is expected to go on vacations like that with people who make so much more than her. I feel bad that I did not pick up on her discomfort sooner. But we did agree to split everything 50/50 and I don't know why she agreed to come if the cost was an issue.

On this week's episode of Still Dope we talk on the challenge of social media trolling. If you have not heard or read last week, Chrissy Teigen offered a very lengthy apology  about some of her very harsh bullying comments earlier in her social media life. A lot has gone down in the last few days and since her apology designer Michael Costello has come out and said the bullied him so badly that he contemplated suicide. He released unsubstantiated screenshots of a DM he sent to Chrissy begging her to speak with him over the allegations that he used the N word. He claims the screenshots from Chrissy were dismissive of his 'truth' and told him his career is over. Chrissy's team is now saying those DM's are fake! Leona Lewis is now stating that although she is sympathetic to what Michael Costello may have gone through, he is however also guilty of similar behavior he accuses Chrissy of. WHEW, Chile the ghetto!!!!

Watch & Listen to the episode where we try to unpack cancel culture and forgiveness, Should you forever be vilified for behaviour you have since grown out of? These tweets are over seven years old a lot has changed for Chrissy. Children, specifically make you reevaluate how you speak and grow inside of you a sense of empathy may not have had before. Some people do not grow from that or any life changes but you can see growth imo in Chrissy over the years. She is still a pain in the ass but I think she is better person than she was back then. Time will tell.
