We consider what it means to discover something, and where that might come from. And more, just listen, it's five minutes.

In this rhetorical episode, I accept as a premise the computational theory of mind, prevalent in cognitive psychology. I think about how the telling of a children's story may impact the rule-based architecture of a child's mind, which is still developing and learning. I consider how it may impact the way she sees herself, and her potential. But this also assumes children view books as symbolic representations of themselves, which I don't know.
