US stocks closed lower in volatile trading on Wednesday following a policy announcement by the Federal Reserve that raised interest rates by an expected 50 basis points, but its economic projections see higher rates for a longer period.

Resistance for Nifty is seen at 18,730, above which it is likely to march towards new all-time high. Intraday Supports for the Nifty are seen at 18,653 and 18,581.

Indian markets could open higher, in line with largely positive Asian markets today and higher US markets on Tuesday.

Today BankNifty has hit fresh all time high of 43,978 and hovering around those levels right now. Resistance for Nifty is seen at 18,664, while support for the same is seen at 18,345.

Indian markets could open mildly higher, in line with mildly positive Asian markets today and higher US markets on Monday.

On breach of today’s low of 18,345, Nifty is expected to fall further towards next support of 18,100.
