US stocks ended with a slight gain on Friday after shrugging off Federal Reserve warnings.

Cues from the US Fed members hinting at continued rate hikes on Thursday pricked sentiments globally. Nifty could now find support at the 18,044-18,103 band while 18,409 could act as a resistance in the near term.

U.S. stocks ended lower on Thursday to log their first back-to-back losses in two weeks.

The pound dropped after Chancellor Jeremy Hunt outlined a £55 billion ($65 billion) package of tax rises and spending cuts even as the economy slid into recession.

While the Nifty has corrected from the highs, the near-term trend remains up.

Further upsides are likely once the immediate resistance of 18,418 is taken out. Weakness could emerge if the support of 18,350 is broken.

U.S. stocks finished lower on Wednesday following a big profit miss at a big-box retailer Target.

Nifty is witnessing narrow range trade over the last four sessions with the close over these days being in an 80-point band. Nifty could trade in the 18,458-18,179 band for the near term.

Indian markets could open mildly lower, in line with largely negative Asian markets today and lower US markets on Wednesday.

U.S. stocks closed higher on Tuesday, but off the session’s best levels. The Dow turned negative earlier in the session after the Associated Press reported that Russian missiles crossed into Poland and killed two people, ratcheting up geopolitical tension given Poland is a NATO country.

Nifty recovered well on Nov 15th from the morning weakness. Nifty could now face resistance in the 18,458-18,543 band while 18,259-18,282 band could offer support in the near term.

Indian markets could open flat to mildly lower, in line with mixed and rangebound Asian markets today.
