Markets are more concerned with the ultimate level of rates rather than the pace of tightening.
In Europe, the Bank of England raised interest rates to 3% on Thursday from 2.25%, its biggest rate rises in three decades. The Bank of England told investors to rein in expectations for hikes, which saw the pound slump.
Nifty fell for the second consecutive session on Nov 3rd following negative global cues.
Nifty could now face resistance in the 18,106-18,145 band while 17,838-17,899 band could offer support in the near term.
Indian markets could open flat, in line with mixed Asian markets today and despite lower US markets on Thursday.
