Welcome back after almost two weeks! This week we talk about one of the most common technical formations. It is the Cup with Handle Base. Why am I talking about the Cup with Handle Base? It is because you don't have to buy a stock that has reached an all time high! The Cup and Handle Base lets you buy a stock that is a few percent below your high thus lowering your risk.
Also Chegg and Inphi is also talked about on how they are forming a Cup with Handle Base and here there are potential buy point. The market are a little bit violent right now so be very precise with your buy point and let the market tell you when to get in.

IPO Bases these are the NASCAR of the stock worlds. These are the latest and greatest companies that are coming out that is changing the world. This episode explains how I get into these high flying stocks and how to make a profit.
IPO Bases require more attention that the average stock that have been on the market for a few months. For regular stocks you can check on the weekly chart but for IPO bases you have to check on the daily and see how it closes. One has to check on the volume and the price action.
Enjoy. The stocks discussed in this episode are listed below.

Have you ever wondered what direction the market is headed? Me too! I can't predict the future but I can watch is the current market. What the market is doing now is how I assess a more bullish perspective or a bearish perspective. What I use is IBD (Investor's Business Daily) guide to know if the trend is up or down. There is no sideways action in this system.
We look for two key things, which is a Rally Day then a follow through day. The follow through day for me is at least 1.5% price up on above average volume from the day before. Listen in and subscribe to learn more about how I swing trade. Below are the charts for this week.

Have you ever thought during the day if I should sell or should I keep holding? I have and this question keeps coming up everyday but luckily I have my support and resistance lines! Then combining the support and resistance line with highs and lows and along with precise numbers in your head it helps form a framework of a very short term uptrend or downtrend in your mind. This way you won't be drawn to look at what the current price of the market is. Two stocks are analyzed this week:
IIPR

PODD

Support and Resistance is something that technical traders talk about. Everyone gets a number aka a price that they want to use as a support and resistance. In this episode I talk about using Gaps to find them. If there is a gap up then there is a support if there is a gap down then there is a resistance. Gaps matter in the context of time frame. Depending on the time frame that you are trading it changes. The most important is the less volatile time frames and these are the hourly and the daily charts for the swing trader who hold more than a day but less than a year.
The stocks and indices below are also talked about. For best listening experience in the 2nd part it is best to at least to glance at the chart before listening to get a image of the patterns. Enjoy :)

This week is a little bit different. Two days in the market has caused a lot of damage to the bull momentum that has been going on. So this week will be about buying and selling based on a lagging technical indicator, moving averages. We will talk on both the buying side and the selling side.
For the buy side it would be a PO3 where you buy when the 10DMA, 21EMA, and 50DMA all cross and are on top of each other.
For the sell side you would look for a close below the 10WMA on above average volume assuming this is a stock with sales and earnings at least 25% the last 3 quarter.

What is basing and why is it important before you buy a stock? These are the questions that are answered in this episode.
Brief: The reason basing is important is because a stock needs to change hands. This changing of hands have the people who are not patient with the stock or want to take profit sell to the people who are willing to hold it longer.
When using technical analysis for basing one can look for a flat base that is about 10-15% from the highest to the lowest or a consolidation, which is greater than 15%.

This week is all about the overall market and why it matters. Basically the overall market tells you what direction most stocks are headed towards. Also why you need to balance ideas and execution. It does not mean making more decisions but rather find what decision you have made in the past and how to build upon it.

TEAM is an example of an sell rule that most likely is headed down in a raging bull market.
