God is always at work and invites us to join Him in what He is doing in the lives of others. If we are not careful though, we can miss seeing those opportunities, or stop before the opportunity is finalized. This Sunday we will look at a story from 2 Kings 13 as we learn to see the window of opportunities given to us by God.
As a church we take communion on a regular basis. But what is communion and how should we prepare ourselves to take communion? Join us this week as look at 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 and how we are suppose to approach remembering Christ's sacrifice through the taking of communion.
God’s Design for Men and Women
In this chapter Paul addresses the concept of idolatry and how it pulls believers away from God. He addresses the problems with idolatry but then gives us instruction on how to flee from it and become more Spiritually Mature.
In 1 Corinthians 9, Paul poses a fundamental question: "Are you ready to sacrifice your personal freedoms, preferences, and desires for the greater good of spreading the gospel and helping others establish a relationship with Jesus?" This message delves into Paul's remarkable willingness to go to great lengths, short of committing sins, to ensure that others can encounter Jesus. Through his example, Paul learned to win by losing.
As a christian did you know you have rights and freedoms in Christ? How awesome is that! Yet at the same time, because we should love all people, we might need to lay aside certain rights and freedoms because we care. In this message we will talk about what rights we have, but also when we should give them up for the sake of others.
When we’re battling depression, it can be easy to isolate ourselves. But church is a place we can go when we don’t have it all together. This week, we’re learning how to fight depression from a spiritual perspective. Maybe you or someone you know struggles in this area.
A cause for anxiousness and worry is a mind preoccupied on the temporary and not on the eternal.
We see throughout scripture that anxiety is part of life, but how we chose to respond to anxiety is key in how it effects us.
God created our mind to be a powerful tool. What and how we think, can change our perspective, impact decisions, and influence what we do. It can be easy to think that God only cares about our spiritual health. However, we want to show you that the Bible shows us over and over again how important our mental health is to God. In our series, "Peace of Mind," we will learn how God wants us to have a mind that experiences true peace.
