Built great products but can't sell them? You're not alone, and more AI marketing tools won't fix it. This week I saw a guy in a Claude group who had built product after product with AI coding and couldn't figure out how to sell any of them. Everyone replied with more tech: AI marketing agents, cold outreach bots, automation systems. They were all wrong. The real fix is simpler and harder: solve ONE problem for ONE person, and say it in a way that person cares about. It took me decades in business to learn that, and it's the foundation of something new I'm building called The Impact Filter, a framework for running your tech skills through a filter so you come out with a clear, compelling offer people actually want to buy.
In this episode:
→ Why "help everyone" is the fastest way to sell no one
→ Tactics vs. strategy vs. impact (the 10,000-foot view most businesses skip)
→ Three versions of the IMPACT acronym, and I want your vote
→ How to use AI (I use Claude) to turn a raw idea into a talk, a handout, and maybe an app
→ Lovable vs. Claude Code vs. HighLevel AI Studio: which AI coding path I'm picking
→ What an MCP is and why it's now a must-have for any software you use
🎁 FREE IMPACT HANDOUT Text IMPACT to 405-217-4752 and I'll send you the worksheet for building a business with impact.

Stop Fighting AI. You Already Lost That Battle.
Every major technology in human history has moved in one direction: forward. AI is no different. You can resist it, wait for someone to "regulate" it, or complain about it, but the wave is coming either way. You can get buried by it, or you can get on your surfboard and ride it. In this episode of the StopDoingNothing show, Patrick Allmond (25+ years in digital marketing, AI keynote speaker, and founder of StopDoingNothing Media) breaks down why fighting AI is a waste of time, where AI should never be making decisions, and the exact tools and maturity levels business owners should be using to get ahead.
In this episode:
→ Why success isn't what you should be chasing (and what to chase instead)
→ The AI "self-regulation" executive order, and why it's a joke
→ Grok the caveman and why humans never go backwards on progress
→ The I, Robot problem: where AI should NEVER make the call
→ How my AI agents work overnight while I sleep
→ Going from idea to reality with AI, including AI-to-3D-printer
→ Will AI kill creativity? A take for artists and musicians
→ My 2.5 AI tools: ClickUp, HighLevel, and Claude
→ The 4 Levels of AI Maturity, and why most people are stuck at Level 1
→ Why ClickUp is my second brain

Stop Procrastinating: The Real Essence of Marketing Is Showing Up (Online + In Person)
Patrick Allmond shares recent wins from returning to in-person networking, noting it energizes him and quickly "spiders" into new business leads, then connects that lesson to the core of marketing: showing up in more places at the right place and time—even when you can't know what will work. He references a David Goggins idea that when you don't have a goal, the goal becomes your self-respect and discipline. Using a "spaghetti against the wall" metaphor, he encourages beginner and mid-level marketers to run more campaigns and favor tactics that require prospects to raise their hand, such as webinars, virtual events, ads, and especially ads driving registrations. He explains tracking micro-commitments (opt-ins, clicks, attendance, time stayed) and recounts using a text-to-opt-in tactic at chamber events to collect 15 contacts, fill an OKC class, and generate additional event opportunities, emphasizing intentional networking and partnerships.

Impact Part 2: Purpose, Better Peer Groups, and Marketing That Attracts the Right Clients
In this "Impact Part Two" episode, the host of Stop Doing Nothing Media in Oklahoma City reflects on a prior show that gained traction and goes deeper on building a purpose-driven business. He explains how AI tools (increasingly ClickUp) help plan and produce content, but should remain an assistant, and shares thoughts on branding via swag (Printful and local vendor Henry Israel). Drawing on quotes from Magic Johnson and Jordan Peterson, he argues that entrepreneurs must evolve their peer groups, do hard things, and avoid letting life run on autopilot. He describes shifting his website, ads, sales language, networking, and client filtering to attract mission-based clients and repel money-only prospects, citing networking wins through the Black Chamber of Commerce and a financial planners group. He also promotes the OKC 9/11 stair climb and upcoming AI classes in OKC (Sept 24–25), with plans for Tulsa and Kansas City, plus upcoming jury duty.

Stop Chasing Success: Find Purpose, Master Discipline, and Market the Outcome The host shares quotes about prioritizing purpose over success and persisting through early failure, then explains why marketing often beats a better product, arguing that people buy outcomes rather than business names. He ties purpose to discipline, saying results shouldn't be a surprise because they reflect accumulated decisions, and emphasizes that you don't rise to goals—you fall to your discipline. He recommends quantifying goals with numbers and dates, using math to back into required leads and sales, and applying calendar discipline to execute daily actions. He notes AI can help break big goals into manageable tasks, mentioning ClickUp and HighLevel as key tools, and promotes an in-person AI class in Oklahoma City on September 24 with planned sessions in Tulsa and Kansas City.

How to Start Making an Impact (Beyond Money) |
Stop Doing Nothing Live On the August 26 episode of Stop Doing Nothing Live
Patrick Allmong reflects on the recent loss of Dolly Parton and uses it to introduce a multi-part discussion on why making an impact matters more than simply making money. He shares his background running Stop Doing Nothing Media and describes his own shift from pursuing higher income to focusing on using money and business to benefit others. Patrick argues impact starts with helping just one person, getting past ego, and prioritizing ideas and legacy over name recognition, noting people are quickly forgotten after death. He offers guiding questions for creating impact: provide long-term benefits, enrich lives, relieve stress, enable others to help their families, entertain and make people laugh, unlock human potential, help people focus, and increase certainty through reduced risk and diversified income.

Simplify for Your Sanity: Focus Your Niche, Consolidate Tools, and Raise Your Prices Patrick Allmond opens his August 19 live episode by skipping his usual intro and sharing that he hosts weekly discussions on business and life, with today's focus on simplification. He explains how entrepreneurs slowly accumulate chaos by chasing money, taking on too many niches, and trying to master every new tool—especially in marketing and AI—then outlines ways to simplify without shrinking revenue. Key points include niching down, offering one service well at one to three price levels, using good/better/best pricing, consolidating tools (he focuses on Claude and ClickUp), cutting low-end clients by offering self-service alternatives, restricting meeting availability, resisting off-niche opportunities, and keeping client work aligned with your expertise. He emphasizes that people pay for simplicity, speed, pleasure, and pain avoidance, then closes with a call to subscribe and take care of your health.

5 Steps to Faster, Cheaper Leads with Facebook Ads (Plus a Priority Lesson for Marketers)
Patrick Allmond shares a Wednesday livestream with a personal lesson on priorities and calendar management, arguing that if you don't set your own priorities, you'll end up working on someone else's. He explains a repeating digital marketing cycle where new platforms grow on organic reach, then shift to ads and paid features, and says effective lead gen should feel organic even when it's paid. He offers a PDF, "The Playmaker's Guide to Faster and Cheaper Leads," outlining five steps: use a CRM as a system of record, record and caption five short vertical hook/explain/CTA videos, launch a simple Meta ad campaign, set up automated multi-channel follow-up (not SMS alone), and focus on booking calls to increase closes. He closes by encouraging viewers to embrace fear as a constant and take action.
