  • Gen Z, Millennials & New Talent: Safely Driving Change

Gen Z, Millennials & New Talent: Safely Driving Change

New talent is arriving with fresh eyes and bold ideas. But here’s the truth: Change can either unite a team or completely shake its foundation. How can we challenge the status quo without triggering fear, power struggles, or resistance?

This episode of Stop. Drop & ROLE is for the bold, new thinkers - and the experienced leaders who built the systems they now work in and may even oversee.

Jen dives into how Gen Z, Millennials, and emerging voices can drive meaningful change without ego, accusation, or authority struggles. Instead, she walks through the ROLE method to guide thoughtful, collaborative conversations that shift culture (and mindsets) without burning bridges.

    Listeners will learn how to:

    • Step into the shoes of legacy leaders to understand the why behind resistance.
    • Spot outdated practices that may no longer serve the team or business.
    • Ask smart, safe, and curious questions that move conversations forward.
    • Avoid the “I know better” trap and instead build trust through insight, not power.

This episode doesn’t pit generations against each other, it equips everyone to recognize when it’s time to evolve, and how to do it with confidence and care.

    Perfect for:

    • Emerging professionals ready to make a mark
    • Leaders mentoring new talent
    • Teams navigating culture change and generational differences
    • Anyone craving healthier, more courageous workplace conversations

Listen in and learn: How to lead up, speak up, and show up with curiosity and collaboration at the core.

If you’re a leader (or becoming one) this episode is your guide to rewriting workplace norms with respect and intention.

  • Strong & Still Struggling: Men and Mental Health at Work

In this June episode of Stop Drop & ROLE, Jen gets real about the mental health crisis affecting men - especially those working in high-stress, high-responsibility industries like construction.

This isn’t therapy, and Jen’s not a therapist, but she is here to equip leaders with a practical, heart-centered method to check in on their teams using the six steps of Stop. Drop. & ROLE.

If you’re overseeing men at work - especially those who pride themselves on being “strong and silent”- you’ll walk away with tools to start conversations that matter, help your people reconnect with a bigger purpose, and remind them (and maybe yourself) that work is just one piece of the life puzzle.

This June, when many organizations focus on men’s mental health - remember: As the leader, you don’t have to fix it. You just have to face it with them.

Because real strength isn’t silence. It’s connection.

Take care of your people. Check in on your crew/team.

Remind them that who they are matters more than what they do.

  • The Neurodivergent Leader with Guest Rachel Radway

Episode 35 marks a milestone - our very first guest interview!

Jen sits down with Rachel Radway, a certified coach, author, and expert in neurodivergent leadership. Rachel brings her deep experience working with high-achieving women who are wired a bit differently - often highly sensitive, sometimes overlooked.

Together, they explore what it means to lead as a neurodivergent person in today’s workplace. From Rachel’s personal story of burnout and transformation in rural Peru to the ways neurodivergence shapes boundaries, problem-solving, and emotional resilience - this conversation is packed with insight and heart.

You’ll hear honest dialogue around avoiding labels, honoring differences, and recognizing the hidden signs of burnout - especially for those who’ve been told they’re “too much”, "weird" or “too different.” Rachel also offers resources for those curious about masking, hormonal impacts on brain function, and how to lead from a place of self-love and strength.

If you’ve ever felt out of step with the typical leadership mold, this episode is your reminder that there's nothing wrong with your wiring - it might just be your superpower.

  • Connecting the Office and Field in Construction

Sure, you chose that job - in Construction, whether it's in the field, as a driver, a plant operator, a mechanic, welder, foreman - whatever the title. You also chose to support the company wherever you work from if you believe in the mission and vision of what you do there. The question is - do you know what one other does? Do you support each other? What impact do the silos make on the culture? On your customers? On the relationships that are crucial to business?

That's today's episode. How are you intentionally connecting your field to the office? If you're throwing up your hands and saying "that's not my job" - are you really leading?

Yes, it takes time. Yes, it takes patience. It also takes an open mind. A person to ask Why have we accepted the relationship between the field and office as so disconnected? And - why are we hesitating to fix it? It's possible, but you'll have to lead. You'll have to admit what you've outgrown and where you want to really see change - then commit to it.

Join Jen today as a construction professional (in or out of the field/office) and Reflect, Observe, Listen - to Evolve and see where you can make a difference, leader!

  • When Mentors Have a Negative Impact

Today on Stop. Drop. & ROLE, we're asking a hard question: What happens when the people we trust to develop and spend time with our young or new talent, mentors, aren't actually equipped to do the job? Maybe they're stuck in old ways. Maybe they’ve internalized poor habits. Whatever the case, the cost is high - for our teams, our culture, and our business.

Employees with effective mentors are 2.5x more likely to stay longer than five years. But when mentorship is misaligned, it becomes unhealthy and 43% of employees in a recent survey reported quitting a job due to poor leadership or mentorship.

Join Jen today as she explains why a person's manager should not be their mentor as well as the trouble with mentor programs that are mandatory and mentors in a queue, assigned by HR. Without a plan of frequent check=in's, you could be hurting your talent more than developing them. A true mentor program should be seen as "specially selected" - a prestigious opportunity to impact the organization and a chance for development and recognition.

Follow along with the important steps to awareness through Stop. Drop. Reflect. Observe. Listen & Evolve - to grow into a intentional, healthy mentorship program.

*There is an underlying notation to construction and manufacturing industries here as examples due to Jen's experience and subject matter expertise.

  • Not Everything or Everyone is Toxic

This episode focuses on the way society is tossing around the word "TOXIC".

From social media to work circles, the word is being used to describe everyone and everything - in a way that seems a bit unhealthy.

Join Jen as she delves into the process of Stop. Drop. & ROLE to dig deep and reflect on whether or not we're using the word as a crutch - something quite easy and keeping us unaccountable, OR if things truly are that bad.
