It's Friday afternoon and for many people, it's the end of the week. For many of the rest of us, it's just Friday. Another day in an endless weekend. But we did fit a  little more of the happy into this hour. A prowler in the middle of the night, a new puppy, and a protest in downtown Portland that's still getting national attention. Yay Portland. 

Still zooming from homing and nobody know how long that will continue. The results of Art's Covid test, encounter with a racoon, and Susan's trip to Seattle.

We wanted to see how our dear friend Cathy Ladman was doing with the quarantine, living in California and recovering from cancer treatment. Turns out, she's doing very well and just as funny as ever. She has some great stories about her last few months and her take on the events of the day. Lots of laughs. 

I wouldn't say Susan and Art are crazy from 2020 just yet. But you we're talking about the events of the week. Anti-maskers, Brazil, Trump... It's hard to to make any of it seem sane. Listen closely though. See if you can hear the underlying panic. We're all feeling it. This is all really happening. And this is how two separately quarantined comedians deal with it.

OK, so it's not actually an hour. And it's not all happy.  It's the day before a Corovavirus time bomb with Trump's rally in Tulsa and more police abuse of power. Record unemployment and quarantine fatigue. Yikes. Maybe "happy" is too lofty of a goal. But there are some positive things happening as well. Today is Juneteenth, and with the massive protests continuing for a third week, a cause for celebration and hope for some real change in America. We do our best to find some laughs and lighter things to add to the mix. 

Comedians everywhere are trying to figure out the next thing after live shows. Award winning and amazingly funny Auggie Smith has started a nightly video blog on his Facebook page, musing about these bizarre times and having everyone join him in testing the limits of their physical strength by doing as many push ups as they can muster.  As with everything Auggie does, he's hilarious and relevant. Check out his Facebook page every night at 9:00 and join in the chat with all his friends. It's addictive. 

Yes, we got political this week. We felt we couldn't just keep things light during the world wide protests and the ongoing police brutality we're seeing in so many horrifying images. You may agree with us, you may disagree. But we're laying our cards on the table and talking about some difficult things.  

June 1. The country is burning. We're all in lockdown. We offer our thoughts about the rioting and our ideas about coping with one of the most stressful weeks in American History.
