This week we had the lovely honor of talking with Stephanie Levich, founder of Family Match Consulting, where she is also an intended parent matching consultant. 

Stephanie shares about her journey in the surrogacy world and how that lead her to creating her own business and helping over 3,000 intended parents match with a lovely surrogate, that in turn helped grow their family.

She also touches on how surrogacy and the IVF community has always had a special place in her heart as she was adopted. Writing a children's book titled "From the Start" which talks about the many different ways a family can grow. (Link below)

Welcome to 2025! Last year we ended the podcast season with our dear friend Grace who was near the end of her second surrogacy journey. This year we are starting our new podcast season with Grace sharing about her beautiful Rainbow Surro Babe who was born shortly after we last spoke.

If you don't know about Grace's second journey we encourage you to listen to a podcast we did with her called "Friday Facts: Pregnancy Loss in Surrogacy" as we do not ask her to speak on it again in this podcast. But in short, it's been a long and emotional journey that ended in a beautiful and healthy baby boy.

Let's talk about relationships and intimacy during a surrogacy journey. There is a time in a journey when abstinence is usually required and it could last longer if you are carrying multiples or put on bed rest.

While we surrogates may be the ones going through the process and taking a lot on with being pregnant and still trying to do all the super mom things of cleaning, laundry, etc. There may come a time when we need to ask for help. OH MY WORD WHAT!? I know that is something the majority of us have a hard time acknowledging and accepting, but it's okay to ask. 

We all hope never to have to ask, but a journey is a mystery and we never know what will happen. We dive into talking about how it feels to release some of our duties to our partners and how our partners feel watching us go through the highs, the lows, and the in-between on these journeys.

This is definitely a great podcast for partners to listen in on to get some information, especially if this is their first journey.

This week is a bit different. My two close friends and I have been on a 2 year journey, which isn’t the norm for surrogates.

We were all talking and thought maybe we should address what it’s really like to be on such a long, emotionally tiring journey. Each of us has a different reason/path as to why it is taking so long and we talk about how the emotional rollercoaster has been.

We all address some stigmas that we can say with 100% certainty are not true! 

Please know if you’re a first time surrogate this is not the norm, but it is possible to take this long. 2 years of all our lives have been put on hold and yet we still are pushing forward wanting so much to help someone have a baby. 💕
