The greatest advice ever given to me was to find a career that uses your mind and not your back. After years of working in multiple warehouse jobs where I was never challenged mentally, I heard about Nashville Software School from my brother, who is an alumnus. He warned me it was extremely hard and not for everyone and you must love data. To me, the school sounded like Excel something that would finally put me in a position to really find that career to use my mind. Turns out that not only do I love data, but I now have the skills to clean and present data that is tailor made to future clients and/or direct supervisors.

Toni Kim graduated with Full-time Data Analytics Cohort 4.

I have a background in marketing and gaming and now looking forward to landing in the field of data. Through this course, I learned useful skills like SQL, Python, and many more tools. Also, I learned how to format my thinking process and communicate with my team members about how I'm working on my project. I'm looking forward to utilizing what I learned in the course in the real data world!

I am a current Data Analytics student at Nashville Software School. I am interested in Sports Psychology with an emphasis on Strength and Conditioning but also enjoy helping people learn how to reach their goals in terms of health, Personal Training and well-being through Core Strength. My previous work experiences have taught me how to deal with different personalities, cultures and work environments. My goals include expanding my knowledge in the field while continuing to develop Strength & Conditioning skills while simultaneously increasing my knowledge of exercise physiology

Leveraging Excel in my previous job and my background in accounting really motivated me to attend NSS(Nashville Software School) to improved my analytical skills. NSS is a great platform where you can acquire great analytical skills.

Through my experiences as a Business and Financial Analyst I was exposed to Data Analysis. I love how data can be leveraged to provide insight as to how to understand and improve nearly anything. This passion drew me to continue developing my skills in Data and Business Analytics.

My entire career has evolved through using data to build solutions to problems. Data analytics is the next step in that evolution.

My experience in sales protecting data for customers exposed me to all sorts of business data and analytics. Building relationships and telling stories has been a large part of my success, which moved me to expanding my skills in data analytics to help write and tell data stories and to solve complex problems leveraging the following: Tableau, PowerBI, SQL (PostgreSQL, JOINS), Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, PowerPivot), Python (pandas).

With skills in mathematics, problem solving, and real-world applications, I hope to apply my knowledge in anyway that I can make a positive impact on the world as well as my local community. I enjoy using humor and a positive outlook on the world to influence and support those around me. I strive to work in fields where I can continuously use critical thinking skills to involve myself in real world problem solving.

Holliday Therrell graduated with Full-time Data Analytics Cohort 4.

As a former business owner and math major, I already knew how impactful data could be when used strategically. Thanks to NSS, I now have the technical skills necessary to turn raw numbers into actionable insights. Data analytics gives me the space to practice my two greatest passions: learning and problem-solving (or puzzle-solving, as I like to say). I look forward to professional opportunities that encourage me to use all of these skills while helping others.
