After playing drums in Nashville for 6 years and working in the hospitality industry, I found myself with spare time during the pandemic and decided to explore my interest in programming. The interest sparked while working in DAW's such as Live, Logic Pro, and Pro Tools for sessions, during live performances, and as a hobby in producing my own music. What began as a way to pass the time quickly turned into a passion for understanding the ways in which technology shapes the world around us.

I am currently enrolled in the Full Stack Web Developer Program at Nashville Software School. My goal is to connect with a company that values innovative perspectives, creative minds, and cooperative teamwork. I am thoroughly enjoying learning the intricacies of web development, and look forward to the opportunities that this new chapter will bring. I will be finished with the Full Stack Web Developer Program at NSS in March of 2023.

I grew up in Maryland in a big, Irish-Catholic family. An entrepreneurial spirit brought me to TN, love kept me here. When our small business closed during the pandemic, I found myself at an unexpected juncture. I decided to fail forward into coding and it's the best! I thrive on being presented with challenges, finding elegant solutions, and wowing the audience. I enjoy working with a team to tackle an issue and am grateful for the opportunity to learn from those around me. Let's talk soon!

Practicing empathy & transparency daily, as well as doing my part to facilitate & cultivate a more equitable future for all are driving forces in my life. My maxim is to do everything with intention. I'm eager to quench my thirst for transforming the abstract into more concrete, tangible forms. When not working on a project, I'm usually spinning records on my turntable or digging through crates to find the newest, tastiest sounds. Likely meditating on a glass of fernet.

I have a background in both Fashion Design and Merchandising. I have always felt the need to explore web development; implementing feature sets in order to better improve the overall user experience. I am so excited to be taking this step into this new world, to gain new skills that will only make a me a better more rounded person, always pursuing success.

Originally from New Jersey, I moved to Kentucky for college to study Fine Arts 20 years ago and now have been a southerner for half of my life. I moved to Franklin, Tennessee seven years ago and have since been raising my three children while always maintaining a side hustle. Pursuing software development has been a desire for years and finally was able to devote the time to NSS once my youngest went to school. I'm looking to continue my learning on a team with proven mentorship practices.

I’m an East Nashville native. I am a creative and love to explore and learn about new ideas. My past experience in photography, teaching and hospitality have given me some great problem-solving tools to move forward into web development. My goal is to connect with others who share in the same interests and contribute to the technology world. I look forward to constantly learning and the beginning of a new and exciting career.
