I am originally from Texas where I earned my degree in Graphic Design at Texas State University just outside of Austin. Since moving to Nashville in 2009, I have had the opportunity to explore the city while photographing real estate. I love the artistic side of real estate photography but I recently I found myself researching software development. I've always been fascinated with the tech industry and I am thrilled to get the opportunity to learn programming skills at a place like Nashville Software School. I can't wait to join the working tech community!

Prior to beginning my journey in software development, I had been working in retail for a little over 8 years. I specialized in customer service, as well as maintaining departments. It allowed me to really hone in how to approach and read people in a professional setting.

During my time working at New Life Laser, I dove into many roles with a consistent goal to ‘level up’ in my career. During my numerous transitions, I continued to gravitate towards online work which landed me in a marketing role handling all of our website content, digital marketing & search engine optimization (SEO). During the process of building our internal app, I found a deep-rooted passion for building digital tools, so when the coronavirus pandemic left me with unexpected free time and the opportunity to shift careers, web development was the obvious path.

I am a quality-oriented and self-driven individual who has been consistently praised as detail-oriented and “the guy who can figure it out” by my employers and peers. Prior to my decision to enter web development, I spent my entire life working with technology and working towards a better understanding of it. I have worked on several sides including sales, technical support, and hardware repair. This need for a better understanding has driven me to my true passion of becoming a web developer.

Before attending Nashville Software School, I was in the Marine Corps troubleshooting flight computers for the F/A-18 Super Hornets. I’ve been drawn to the programming field since a young age. I feel like software development was right up my alley since my favorite part of any job was the troubleshooting aspect.

Hailey Rissolo graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 43.

My background in Multimedia Design has given me the confidence to reliably produce detail oriented, well planned and curated content. I find fulfillment in problem solving, working on a team, and being presented with new challenges. I’m excited to be in a field with plenty of potential to learn more.

I love solving problems through design and code. I believe human-centered design is important work that has the potential to improve lives, and my understanding of front-end languages like Javascript, HTML, and CSS enhances my ability to design for the user. I believe in collaboration, communication, and inclusivity- in code, in design, and in life.

Richie Holsenbac graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 43.

Before beginning a career in Front End Development, I worked in digital media and social media marketing. I loved the marrying of creative and technical mindedness that those fields offered. I wanted to learn a new skill and be able to take control of my career path. I grew frustrated trying to alter a web page for my photography business so I looked into how to change it and caught the bug for coding. Front End Development allows me to be creative and technical while creating a website.

Motivated Computer Science graduate with 7+ years of management/teamwork experience seeking a C#/.Net Developer position. My passion for software engineering dates back to my childhood, watching my mother code. I was amazed by the power of programming, which lead me to major in Computer Science. My enthusiasm in the field has grown over the years and I love that there will always more to learn.
