In December 1759, a 'mob' of some three thousand people made their way from the Coombe to College Green. Some of them proceeded to enter the Irish Parliament, demanding that politicians swear an oath and even occupying the throne of the House of Lords.  But what influenced them to do it, and what became -or should become  of the College Green parliament?
