Who wouldn’t want to be rich and live like the billionaires? If you asked me I would say, absolutely, yes. In fact, I was obsessed with being rich and hanging out with the billionaires. But, to my misfortune, I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth nor had I made any good money to be rich.

However, that didn’t mean I couldn’t live my dream or make them come true. Because I had few plans up my sleeve to live like a billionaire and be in the billionaire’s club.

To execute that plan, one day, I arrived at a famous golf course all nervous. I was not confident at all in my golfing skills as I had never played golf in my life. And I was also nervous about my real intention of being there and it was not playing golf.

Have you ever felt so happy you didn’t know what to do? Like there was so much joy and you just wanted to scream because, well, what else was there to do? I was having the best Friday ever. I couldn’t believe she smiled at me and gave me her number. I’ve never been bold enough to go after what I want, if you know what I mean. But as I gazed at Emma during Mr. Hellman’s boring Literature class I felt a spark inside and an urge to just send her a note. It said “Hey, I can’t stop staring at you. I’ve liked you for a while. Can I have your number?” I expected her to just throw it away but she sent one back. “I feel the same way.” and she wrote her number at the bottom.  I took out my cellphone and sent her a message right away just to make sure she wasn’t kidding. She replied with a smiley face, then turned around and smiled at me – so I was sure it was her.

“Ooo your girlfriend is so pretty Asher! What’s her name?” my annoying sister said as she crept up behind me. I was at my computer looking at pictures of gorgeous celebrities.

“That isn’t my girlfriend. Get out of my room you pest!” I said.

“You’ll never have a girlfriend anyway. You’re too ugly. Hahahahaha!” she replied while running out of my room.

She was little but I guess she was right – not about the ugly part but about me not ever having a girlfriend. Although I was already eighteen years old, I’d never had a girlfriend. This was my choice though. I found the girls my age too immature, needy and boring. I watched my friends get into petty, ridiculous arguments with their girlfriends and I just shuddered at the thought of me having to go through the same thing.

Isn’t it great being the most popular girl in school? If you ask me, honestly it’s the best thing. Around my final year of high school, I was the most popular girl in my school, a total social butterfly. Everyone wanted to be my friend and there were no bullies at all.

Everyone in school greeted me with “Aubrey, you look gorgeous,” every other morning no matter how well or bad I looked. I took it as a blessing.

But, in the middle of that year, my father asked me for something which meant giving up my good life at that school.

He asked me to transfer to another school in another city.

“Why dad? It’s mid-year - such an awkward time,” I said to him but he told me that it was the job. He had to relocate so he wanted me to come along.

I was the typical unpopular girl at school. I had ZERO friends throughout the first few years of highschool. I was probably the most unpopular girl at school. I don't know why. Maybe it was cos I was boring. Maybe I was too much of a nerd. Or maybe it was cos I was poor. Either way, I was unpopular. But all that changed, and I ended up dating the most popular guy at school. Hi! My name is Nia and I live with my parents, my cute little brother Caleb and my older sister Irene. I’d always believed that a sister should be a girl’s first best friend. When I was younger, I totally idolized Irene; she could do nothing wrong in my eyes. I wanted to do everything just like her. Luckily, this didn’t annoy her at all. The problem started on my first day of high school. I was so excited to finally be going to Irene’s school. For a guy in his late teens, I had a pretty boring life. I was the kind of loner kid who got bullied in school a lot. That meant I had very few friends and having a girlfriend was just wishful thinking.

I worked at a fast-food drive-thru 4 days a week and the rest of the weekend days I worked at the shipyard. I liked keeping myself busy like that as work was my only escape from boredom. My coworkers often asked me, “Why do you work even on the weekends?”

“What else would I do?” was my answer every other time.

I grew up in a pretty normal family. Dad stayed at home and Mom had some boring job.

Everything was normal until the day I decided to google my own name, and let me tell you, what I found was shocking!

Life for me was pretty boring if I’m being honest. I didn’t have any brothers or sisters so I spent most of my time alone. My name is Ishaan and I think I’m from India. At least that’s what a note from my biological parents said. I don’t remember them at all. When I was about two years old, I was found wandering around LA International Airport all by myself. I had a little backpack and a sealed envelope in my hands. A concerned worker picked me up and announced on the loudspeaker that they had found a lost child, but no one came to claim me. She took the envelope from my hand and opened it. There was a note which read “This is our son Ishaan. We recently arrived here but we cannot afford to take care of him so we have left him in the airport hoping that a generous soul will take him in.”
