Welcome to shark week! I have been so excited for this episode, to chat all things sharks and ocean conservation with ocean conservationist and diver, Martina Alvarez. She is currently residing in Panama, and gave us the time to phone in and ask a couple questions about her life of travel to see and dive the many different ocean locations around the world. From her own documentary "Missing Shark", to her foundation "Women of the Ocean", and her latest documentary with Corona, "Free Range Humans".
We discuss her travels and journey to where she is now, creating her documentary, seeing the world through the oceans eyes and the impact of mass uncontrollable fishing and shark hunting.
I thank you Martina for giving us your time and insight into your passion, and cannot wait for your next trip to Cape Town for a dive with you!

Till next week, thank you to our guest for sharing their story!
The library is officially open! Ru Paul drama? What is reading? What does "GRRRT" mean? There's drag kings?
We sat down with 3 of South Africa's finest drag queens, Vivacious Veronica, Mcenzlee Kash and Aurora Maine to discuss the industry of drag. From how to get ready and why they started drag, to asking the questions that most of us might be too shy to talk about - we cover everything from goss to tips and tricks of the trade.
The Queens were kind enough to join us in Kayos Casting studios for an in person meeting to drink white wine and discuss their passion for drag, helping us to understand what they go through and how incredibly talented they are. We wrapped up the podcast with dinner and a show at Gate 69, spending the rest of the day in and around town.
Thank you to the ladies for their kindness, patience and understanding. It is a special moment to have so many different people from all walks of life in a room together having a laugh.

New podcasts weekly - StoryTime with Joshua Eady
Liam St. John is a chart-topping blues-rock singer, songwriter, and performer currently located in Los Angeles, California. Liam joins us this week for an open, honest conversation about how living your truth and being honest to yourself, lead to happiness and creative inspiration. The Voice competitor comes on to discuss living in South Africa, finding love on The Voice, and the inspiration behind his latest album "Stripped Back".
Liam’s debut full-length project “stripped back” reached #2 in Top Blues Albums globally. “Eastham Prison Farm Blues” off of Liam’s brand new album was placed on one of Spotify’s largest blues editorials “Blues Roots” with nearly half a million followers.
Before his big break on The Voice, Liam St. John hustled in the trenches of the music industry for years, playing at open mics, empty dive bars, and making nothing except the occasional well-whiskey or slice of pizza. St. John and his band finally broke through with an opportunity to open for the British soul-rock sensation, Jacob Banks. They have since toured up and down the west coast, and across the southern states of America from Los Angeles, CA to Miami, FL.
Thank you Liam for coming on StoryTime and sharing your story. I count myself lucky to have had the opportunity to have such an open, raw conversation with someone who is so inspiring.

Early winter morning. The sun hasn't even fully come up yet. You're awake and on your way to a frozen lake outside Toronto, coffee in hand and ready to chainsaw through metres of ice. You arrive to everyone doing breath work, trying to maintain any normal level of body warmth. Chainsaws stop, everyone dresses down, and hops into freezing temperature waters while playing chess, having conversations, listen to the sounds of moving ice. These minutes pass slower than microwave minutes, potentially even slower than stair master minutes dare I say. You hop out the water to smiles, hugs and warm coffee all round. Life changing experiences and the many benefits, both mental and physical, that come with cold submersion. Sounds like Nick McNaughts game!
From fun winter mornings cold submerging, to inviting friends and going to viral on CNN globally - now an extremely successful business changing the lives of many many people.
We are happy to welcome Nick to the show to share his story, and why we should all start to consider cold submersion as a part of our lifestyle.

We have no idea, but we know someone who's been attacked by a shark and it does NOT sound fun. Yeah no shit. Also we discuss weird hate messages online, thank you to those people who sent those.
They really well written, gave us a good laugh ;)

PART 1 This is a 20 minute look into a 1 hour conversation with Emmy Winning Elijah Allan Blitz. Elijah has made a massive impact on the world with his incredible creativity, ability to direct and create, and his heart for people. His project alongside Brie Larson amongst others, The Messy Truth, is the future of VR.
Emmy winner AND Lumiere award winner Elijah Allan-Blitz is the first VR director for Time Magazine. Elijah has also directed VR experiences for Aloe Blacc, PBS, Laird Hamilton and HBO.
