  • Majozi talks writing music, releasing his latest album, for love Neon Dreams & Kendrick Drake Beef

    #majozi #music #musician #southafrica #podcast

Hailing from the coastal city of Durban, Majozi is a proudly South African musician who wears his heart on his sleeve – quite literally. He has tattoos dedicated to his faith and to his mother - two very defining aspects of his life, both of which have inspired the music he writes.

Majozi’s music is refreshingly sincere and so is his attitude towards others in the industry. It’s this infectious spirit of kindness, alongside his raw talent, that caught the eye of globally- renowned company, Fender. He now proudly serves as one of only three ambassadors for them in South Africa.

With a skill set that goes beyond singing and includes guitar, keys and drums, Majozi sees his music as an opportunity to artfully portray his uplifting perspective on the world around him and plans to keep reaching and encouraging others through his music for years to come.

“As the first feather finds its permanence near his right shoulder, Wesley Lewis, now a Cape-Town-based creative director and film photographer, says that the creative gene has been there as long as he can remember, “I've always aspired to do art in some sort of form or way [...] I knew since I was like eight.” By James Cameron Heron: Journalist
Wesley Lewis has been a dominant force in South Africa's art and photography realm for quite some time now. His influence extends far beyond his home country, reaching into Europe, Bali, and various other global hubs for photography. While many recognize him as the foremost female fashion and swimwear photographer from Cape Town, Wesley has built a brand and reputation that surpasses mere Instagram fame.
His extensive portfolio speaks volumes, boasting collaborations with major names like H&M Swimwear, Billabong, Suncamino, and a notable partnership with Jeep/Jordy Smith. But Wesley's scope isn't confined to photography alone. He's delved into directing, and crafting a unique collection of short films and commercials. Additionally, his footprint spans print work, online magazines, and a set of photographic presets. Not to overlook his presence in the music realm through The Lost Boys.
The growth of Wezlew is ceaseless, continuously branching out into new artistic avenues. The anticipation for what's on the horizon is palpable—we eagerly await his next creative ventures.
