Welcome to Storytellers Unleashed Season 2A! This episode will kick off our second series about storytelling and storytellers.  We'll give you a brief introduction to who we are and the talented storytellers taking center stage in the upcoming three episodes.

Our guest in this episode is Kathleen Howlett - a producer whose career has steered her mainly into the universe of children’s content.

We chat about the role of being a story enabler, increasing the focus on representation and inclusivity, about not dumbing it down for kids, slime and innuendo, and also about working with children … and Frozen 2.

For our guest today we have a fashion designer/couturier Lee Paton. Not only does his work tell incredible stories but he himself has a great one to tell. How does one go from criminology to fashion?
We check if storytelling is exclusive to couture or can an average high street T-shirt have a story as well? We talk about craft and process, about finishing your own story and letting it live on beyond your atelier. And about returning to the roots.

For our guest, we have Katia Herault. She is a media expert and a formidable force when it comes to making an effort to save what is left of our planet. And watching the next David Attenborough masterpiece is somewhat of an experience in her house.
In addition to that, we will talk about sustainability being a hot topic and people who are best placed to get the message out there. About the blue marble, eco-anxiety, greenwashing and also sustainable productions. 

For our first guest, we have an Estonian writer Birgit Itse, who little over a year ago packed her life up in Estonia, grabbed her teenager, and moved to Aberdeen Scotland. A city that she had never visited before.

We’ll talk about the moments when one realizes they are a writer, overcoming self-doubt and a fear of a blank page, moving to another country to find self realisation, boxes and baking, language, perfection and finally a bit about the ‘greatest story ever told’. And if you happen to have a piece of paper and a pen nearby it might come in handy.
