This episode too 3 meetings and technologies to finally complete. We had hardware failures, streaming failures, and finally a failure of the host to hit Record on time. Anyway it turned out to be a great Episode with a wonderful person who starts the story with how it took 6 months to get a replacement door for her car.She is a self-described "people collector" but don't fear she really is a master connector of people. Her love of storytelling inspired her study of literature, where she cultivated her writing skills and power of observation, through classes and participation in theatrical productions. Bari's life lessons from Beantown to Hollywood and back to the East Coast are all insights that informed her professional development and led her to the diverse career she enjoys today. Becoming the consummate storyteller established her confidence, empowering her to leverage her skills in corporate America. With a keen eye, she reads her audience. Do you own a business?
Do you plan to live forever?
Do you have an Exit plan?

If your answered Yes to the first but no to the other questions this episode is for you.

Marvin L. Storm has founded, acquired, scaled, and exited several businesses. After his recent exit, he realized that sitting on the sidelines wasn’t his style.
He felt his decades of startup, operational, and C-suite experience as well as the experiences of profitably exiting businesses could help entrepreneurs create enterprise value and then monetized all their hard work by teaching them how to execute a highly profitable exit.
With this in mind, he launched the Business Exit Stories Podcast Interviewing M&A Advisors, Investment Bankers, Business Brokers, Wealth Managers, and other transaction professionals inviting them to share war stories of their good, bad, and ugly deals for the benefit of entrepreneurs who are in the early stages of thinking about their exit. Also, he is writing a book: Pack Your Parachute – How to Double the Amount of Money You Put in Your Pocket When You Sell Your Business. He also serves on multiple boards of directors, consults, and lectures on business exits.

  • Episode 48 - Erin Mac
The is a very Joyful episode.

You may see a theme of Joy here.

It is all around us, but we are often too focused on the handful of things that didn't work out as we expected (Isn't that always the case) that we miss the abundance of joy in our lives.

Erin McCullough is a thought leader, coach/mentor and guide that teaches people how to create Impenetrable Joy in their life so that they can be calm, have peace of mind and meaning in their life, NOW! There were 3 defining moments in her life that led to the work that she does. The first was an anxiety disorder that had her holed up in her home for nearly a year. The second was an accident in which she nearly killed someone, and the third a divorce, which leveled her, even though she had spent years and 10s of thousands of dollars on self-development. Through these experiences Erin learned how and why they happened and developed strategies to overcoming and preventing anxiety, stress, worry and overwhelm, and that is what she teaches now. Erin mostly works with entrepreneurs and leaders, and will and wants to work with anyone that is seeking to live a purpose filled life now. She has been an entrepreneur for 21 years and consulting businesses and business leaders for 16 years. She has specialized on Impenetrable Joy for the last 4 years.

  • Episode 46 - Rob Elliott
I have the great pleasure of chatting with Rob Elliott. Coach, Speaker, and fellow Podcast Host.

We talk about how to overcome that fear of public speaking,

Great Texan and Aussie stories and why can't you be a loaner at a bar in Australia.

Walk the stage before a talk will calm your nerves.

(We are more alike than different)

His love of charities and how he helps them become better at selling their cause.

And some great tips for all speakers and sales people.

Being brought in the family hospitality business exposed Rob to sales and the importance of community at an early age. Watching his parents navigate difficult customers and the expectations of people while at the same time run a profitable business ensured that when he moved to full time sales roles he had all the tools needed. Those same tools have enabled him to become very skilled in public presenting, training as well as giving back to his community through volunteering and raising much needed funds for charities close to his heart. Robert's
    mantra is “Just be you”

  • Richard Lowe Jr
In this episode we learn that Richard is waaaay more than a Ghost Writer. His first book was written when he was 17 and was based off his Grandfathers Journal and included his memories of being one of those in the Bataan death march. He's been a photographer of over 1500 dancers and models that taught him how to overcome his shyness after his wife passed.I'll let Richard describe himself as only a writer can.How do I describe me? How do I put the essentials of this person known as Richard Lowe into a short profile? How does one publish the essence of self into a few paragraphs? That is the puzzle and here is the answer. In 2013, I decided to leave my job of 20 years and start a new career as a professional author, ghostwriter, blogger and copywriter. I’d been managing a team of IT professionals as the Director of Technical Services and Computer Operations for Trader Joe’s for almost 20 years. I was on call 24×7, managed the Just In Time merchandising and warehousing systems, and my team operated the disaster site. The job was stressful and I was tired all the time. It was time to go, move to a new place, start a new career, and build a new life.Richard Lowe Jr, professional author, ghostwriter, blogger and copywriter. My lifelong dream has been to be a professional author. I fell in love with books when I was just five years old and I discovered an illustrated Grimm’s Fairy Tales on the bookshelf. My mother noticed my interest in books and encouraged me to continue reading. When I was six years old, we visited a public library for the first time. I felt like I’d gone to heaven, surrounded by thousands and thousands of books. From that point forward, we’d visit that magical place once a week and I’d bring home six books, the maximum, to read. I dreamed of magic castles or spaceships, and I set my goal to write stories just like this when I grew up.The goal of becoming a writer got put on the back burner as I worked my way through school, left home at 19 years old, and struggled to support myself in a career in the computer industry. I kept telling myself that someday I’d find the time to write, but today required focusing on work. Time became even more constrained after getting married to a wonderful woman named Claudia, who suffered from a chronic illness for 8 years until she passed away in 2005. I don’t like grief, so decided to get out and be with people, becoming a well-known photographer.By the time I was in my early 50s, I’d almost forgotten about that goal that I’d set so long ago. The dream remained, and in 2013, it was time to move on and begin a new life. I quit my job, said goodbye to all my dancer friends who put on an incredible birthday/going-away party, packed up my belongings, and moved clear across the country to Florida.I love writing books, and now it was time to fulfill that dream. I started work on a novel, which I published under a pseudonym, and wrote dozens of books about management, leadership, computer security, surviving disasters, and so on. I began ghostwriting and quickly realized this was a way to fulfill my passion and earn an income at the same time. What could be better?Since 2013, I’ve written and published 27 nonfiction books (each with their own audiobook), 20 coloring books, a series of puzzle books, and several novels, short eBooks, and other miscellaneous things – all available on Amazon. I’ve also ghostwritten over 40 books, written over 300 LinkedIn profiles, completed in excess of a dozen case studies, and published several hundred articles on blogs. One of my books, Focus on LinkedIn, sold over 10,000 copies and another, How To Sell on eBay, sold in excess of 2,000 copies – both of these reached Amazon bestseller status. You can reach him on LinkedIn or his website
