In der heutigen Episode unterhält sich Konstantin Georgiou mit Asteris Kutulas über den Komponisten Mikis Theodorakis und über den YouTube Kanal "MikisTheodorakisOfficial", der das digitale Zuhause des großen Komponisten sein wird.
Asteris Kutulas wurde 1960 in Rumänien als Sohn griechischer Emigranten geboren, die 1968 in die ehemalige DDR umziehen mussten. Er besuchte in Dresden die Kreuzschule und studierte von 1979 bis 1984 Germanistik und Geschichte der Philosophie an der Universität Leipzig. Übersetzte seit 1981 zahlreiche Werke bedeutender griechischer Autoren ins Deutsche. Außerdem veröffentlichte Kutulas eigene Bücher und eine Vielzahl von Texten, Interviews und Übersetzungen in verschiedenen deutschen, griechischen und englischsprachigen Zeitschriften und Zeitungen.
Kutulas gab von 1987 bis 1989 in der DDR die "inoffizielle" Publikationsreihe BIZARRE STÄDTE heraus, an der sich viele Autoren, Maler und Musiker beteiligten, sowie von 1990 bis 1991 die Zeitschrift SONDEUR. Lebte von 1992 bis 1996 in Athen.
Arbeitete von 1981 bis zu dessen Tod 2021 mit dem griechischen Komponisten Mikis Theodorakis zusammen, für den er Dutzende Alben produzierte und über 100 Konzerte weltweit organisierte. 1998 veröffentlichte Kutulas das Theodorakis-Werkverzeichnis.
Seit Anfang der Achtziger Jahre arbeitet Kutulas als Autor, Regisseur und Produzent bei diversen Filmproduktionen sowie als Dramaturg bei Theater- und Showinszenierungen.
