Darran was one of the finest midfielders of his generation well known for his displays in the middle of the park for Sunday league giants The Sandon, a side that won the Liverpool and District Sunday league 3 times in the 1990's. Darran also had spells with Britannia and Allerton where he also picked up silver wear. Darran by his own admission was a 'spiky' player with an unbelievable will to win and sometimes that would spill over on the pitch. He tells us about his childhood rivalry with former Everton star Billy Kenny and how they ended up playing together in the amateur league.     David Jones is one of my best friends, all round good guy and a fantastic footballer to boot. Mr Reliable in every sense of the word. Davey played for Holy Name, Dickie Lewis's, The Warby, JOB, Bootle, Formby, BRNESC, East Villa, Canada and the list goes on. You could say he has had more clubs than Tiger Woods! Davey is one of the few players to win league titles in various Sunday leagues including Liverpool Business houses Prem, Ormskirk Prem and Crosby Prem.

He represented England at youth level playing alongside the likes of Jack Wilshire and everything looked promising for a very good career in professional football, that was until tradegy struck when Sean and his friends were involved in a fatal car accident. A near 2 year recovery followed with Sean working hard every day to be in a position to play football again after medical experts told him it would not be possible.
