"Beautiful" Bobby Eaton passed away on August 4, 2021. We recorded this episode before the news broke about his passing. We send our condolences to his friends, family, and fans. RIP Bobby Eaton.

This week, we deep dive into SummerSlam 1991. It was the "Match Made in Heaven" and the "Match Made in Hell" as Randy Savage and Elizabeth were married, and WWF Champion Hulk Hogan teamed with the soon-to-be fired Ultimate Warrior to take on Sgt. Slaughter, Colonel Mustafa, and General Adnan. Bret Hart won his first Intercontinental Championship from Mr. Perfect, Legion of Doom made history by winning the WWF Tag Team Titles, Virgil took down Ted DiBiase, and the Mountie went to jail.

A ton to get into, so press play!

What made us want to deep dive into No Holds Barred: The Movie?

We honestly have no clue. But we did it. And it was something. This deep dive is actually longer than the actual running time for the movie.

Who was Rip? Why was Samantha cast as the bad person that Rip needed to forgive? Why did we celebrate Rip killing two people? Why is Brell a movie version of Vince McMahon? Why is Rip's brother named Randy? What did anyone get out of this movie?

Also quite a few WWF cameos.

Join us on our deep dive into the first WWE Studios movie that dropped in June of 1989.

The WWF in 1997 had some very, very good things, and some very, very bad things. Their July pay-per-view offering in Calgary, Alberta, Canada was one of the best events they produced that year. With a very dynamic and non-traditional babyface Hart Foundation in Canada vs. those American jerks of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Goldust, Ken Shamrock and the Legion of Doom, the roles would be reversed if you just crossed the border into the United States. Looking back, it may be one of the best angles in wrestling history.

The Calgary Stampede is a staple event each year, so the World Wrestling Federation decided to piggyback off that and dive deep into the western Cowboy scene on this pay-per-view weekend. Nick and Vaughn discuss everything surrounding the event, where they were in life, and what they thought about each and every moment of this pay-per-view, and even the world of wrestling during this time period.

The card:

Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/ Chyna) vs. Mankind

The Great Sasuke vs. Taka Michinoku

WWF Championship: The Undertaker (c) defeated Vader (with Paul Bearer) Singles match for the WWF Championship 12:39

10-Man Tag Team Match: The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart/Owen Hart/British Bulldog/Jim Neidhart/Brian Pillman) vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin/Goldust/Ken Shamrock/Legion of Doom (Animal/Hawk)

BUT FIRST, we talk about the bombshell report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com that CM Punk is in talks with AEW about returning to the squared circle, which joins another hot rumor that WWE is expecting Daniel Bryan to sign with AEW if he didn't already. Absolute needle-movers that could finally start the shift of the balance of power in professional wrestling. The guys discuss their thoughts on the reports and rumors and what they'd like to see happen.

This week, Nick and Vaughn fulfill a Patreon request and deep dive into WWF Fully Loaded 2000. It was a Triple Main Event as Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, and Chris Benoit were the underdogs heading into matches with WWF icons Undertaker, Triple H, and The Rock, respectively.

WWF was absolutely on fire at this point, and some of the booking during this event made it clear they could do whatever they wanted, the fans were not going to abandon their fandom. Live from the Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas, it was probably the best Fully Loaded pay-per-view out of the three total.

The card:

Six-Person Intergender Match: The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and Lita vs. T & A (Test and Albert) and Trish Stratus

Tazz vs. Al Snow (w/ Head)

WWF European Championship: Eddie Guerrero (c) (w/ Chyna) vs. Perry Saturn (w/ Terri)

WWF Tag Team Championship: Edge and Christian (c) vs. The APA (Bradshaw and Faarooq)

Steel Cage Match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship: Val Venis (c) (w/ Trish Stratus) vs. Rikishi

Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle

Last Man Standing: Triple H (w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley) vs. Chris Jericho

WWF Championship: The Rock (c) vs. Chris Benoit (w/ Shane McMahon)

Vaughn Johnson, who worked with the Philadelphia Eagles the year they won the Super Bowl, talks about receiving his Super Bowl ring at the infamous ECW Arena, aka the 2300 Arena, in June 2018 during the team's ring ceremony.

We had a special guest with us, as ECW icon and huge Eagles fan, the Blue Meanie, joined us for the show!
