  • Podcast 10: Vacation’s all we ever wanted

    Hello and Goodbye faithful listeners,

We've gone off the reservation this month and are nowhere to be found.

But do not fret, we've opened the safety deposit box and broken the "in case of emergency" glass to find some entertaining gems.

There's a call into a department store and Munsters in our cheerios. Our ol' buddy H.P. stops by and we visit with the teller of fortunes.  Oh and we celebrate Buzz Aldren doing something that will cause him to punch a guy 40 years later .

Have a happy fourth and enjoy the show.

  • Podcast 9 - Road Trip to Bountiful
Summer is officially here and we can hardly contain ourselves!
That's because SISG is taking a road trip and you folks are all invited.
Its time to load up the old Studebaker with the five people you love/hate the most, strap a few unweildy pieces of luggage on the top with that trucker's hitch you half learned, and head on out to the open road.  Its nothing but mosquitos, chiggers, and tuna salad for one whole glorious week.    We'll visit some road side attractions and say fare the well to the Valley of Death.  There will be a couple of Big Foot sightings as well as a trailer park with all the modern conveniences of the 1950's.  We'll dine on fine foods fit for the homeless and hear scary stories by open flame.
Finally we'll go where the streets have no name to find out that we still haven't found what we're looking for. Have fun and enjoy

  • Podcast 8 - Fifty shades of May

It's May and you know what that means.

Spring is in the air and so is the pungent smell of death from a cave in Scotland, but I digress.

Anyway we've got a terrific podcast this month and your just the people to listen to it

SISG is jumping frogs out in County and giving all mothers the shaft.

We've got a ghost ship sighting and some very informative misinformation.

Last but not least we've got the top 10 star wars paradies according to us.

May the 4th be with you!

  • podcast 7 - Death and Taxes
Well it's that time of year again. You know, the time when the US government lends a helping hand in relieving you of all of your unwanted money. April is finally here and good ole' Uncle Sam himself is aiding you in saying good riddance to the stack of franklins you have propping up one leg of the old coffee table in the den. Yes, he's allowing you to clean house and pitch the 20's you have lining the bird cage and to get rid of the coins you've religiously thrown in the pond in your backyard, wishing for a more egalitarian society. Not to be accused of unhelpfullness SISG has included some PSA's for your further education.Oh and by the by, we also have a salute to Phil Harris, an Interview with Third Man Clay Martinez and a brand new experience in noir: Encyclopedia Brown, boy detective.

  • Podcast 6 The March Madness of being St. Patrick
Top o' the morning to you!
It's March and you know what that means.  It's time we at SISG dust off the the old shillelagh and crack a few sculls. Or least get drunk and resort to fisticuffs to resolve who the better lilter of the bunch is.  This month we determine the best cult classic, tournament style and receive a visit from the quiet man. Throw in a little bit of beatnik Shakespeare, the king of Blarney, and a couple of Mountain Goats and you've got one fine show if we don't say so ourselves.
So good luck to you, happy podcasting, and remember what the Irish say
A kind word never broke anybody's mouth

  • Episode 5 - Alien Invasion
It's February and the boy's at SISG are about to have a close encounter with three kinds of awesome.
We're building monuments in our living room and driving off into the hills, just to hear a medley of actual UFO sightings.
We discuss our Dead Valentines day crushes and get all concillitory with the Pluto formerly know as planet.   Of course we'll have a dramatic reading from that rich treasure trove of scholastic wisdom and a surprise or two to boot.
Oh, and we almost forgotRobot LIncoln

    Enjoy!

  • A podcast called 3 - All Hail Krampus
Well maybe it's just the fact that the third time is the charm, three is a magic number, or that 2 + 2 = 5, but at any rate we here at SISG have produced one humdinger of a third show if we don't say so ourselves. We have jam packed so much great stuff into this podcast that we can confidently proclaim that it would be mildly impractical to list it all here. So here is just a taste of what's in store for you when you click that play button.
First of all two words: Krampus and Party.
Join us as we sample traditional food and spirits all while talking about the history, music and traditions of jolly old St. Nicks' hatchet man. We'll salute Thurl Ravenscroft, the voice of the theme song from "The Grinch" and provide a glimpse into hollywood as we interview budding filmmaker Alan Holt. We're even going to get our pretenses on and read from another great scholastic book. All this plus a foreign language, a bleeding man and a shout out to the Manson Family.    Enjoy and Merry Krampus!
