This episode has been inspired by the book by Anthony Daly, 'Playland' secrets of a forgotten scandal. Playland refers to a homosexual/rent boy vice ring centring on the Playland amusement arcade in Piccadilly during the mid 1970s. To understand how it operated, the problem of police corruption in the area is examined. As a related side topic we also look at a homosexual vice ring operating from the Guards army barracks in central London at this time.
