    TCG PROPER-PREV. WEEK AND UPCOMING

Now for this past episode of TCG proper, Lorne and I sat down to give you guys a deep dive into the Costa Mesa murders. Where in 2010, Julie Kibuishi and Sam Herr, we’re both murdered by a local, small time actor and wanna be conman. Who ended up leading police after one of his victims, instead of searching for the killer himself.

    SandU

Now guys, it’s that time again, and you know what time I’m talking about.. It’s effin SandU stories week. And for all our Patreon listeners out there, it was finally time we took our own advice, and went and did some cult shit. So please, if you haven’t already, go check out our Patreon, where you can listen to this, and every other episode of SandU stories, and you can  really get a sense of some of the other special content we offer over there on the best $5 tier available.

But for everyone on the free platforms, we of course didn’t forget about you guys. Andy and I were back again this week on both audio, and again on video for the free episode of Strange Shorts. Where the two of us fumbled our way through some of the weird stories that we find  from around the world. We’ve got pocket snakes, dick pics for hackers, and even picking wild  dicks for tourists… I know how it sounds, but trust me. It’ll make sense when you check it out.

    JTB

JTB was back again as usual this week with an open floor Q and A. Lorne and I gave our responses to questions like how we may use a time machine, some of our favorite local spots, and even a pretty serious moral conundrum that one of our listeners threw out there. So check that out over on Patreon and the video for that has been uploaded as well.

5 Min Murder and Fantasy Football

Also over on Patreon,  it was time for another five minute murder show. This week Lorne talked about how far a mother will go to find justice for her slain daughter, and how she put the police to shame when it came time to finally put in the real work in finding her killer.

And last but not least, over on full house fantasy football, Lorne and our west coast gang got together for one more breakdown this week. As the guys gave us an overview of how the NFC South is looking this offseason, and what anyone should be looking out for this coming year.

  • #96 Lauren Cho
Lauren Cho was a gifted and well rounded individual, to say the least. She was a superior soprano singer, a black belt in Taekwondo, a high school music teacher, a piercing’s apprentice and an aspiring chef.
She decided she wanted to mix things up so she hopped in an old school bus and headed across the country, but months later she would go missing and turn up dead in the Southern California Desert.
How or why she died is still a mystery, one that has the police and her family looking to the public for help.

  • #95 The Red Summer

The ink had barely dried on the Treaty of Versailles, when fighting erupted across the nation, with returning Black veterans being the main target.

Between the years of the Civil War and WWII, thousands of African Americans were targeted as victims of lynchings and other forms terror, often in a very public setting. This, naturally traumatized and tortured black communities.

Its important to understand that Black American life is not singularly defined by violence. These stories are an important part of history and for a long time have been not just gone untold, but kept from being told.

  • #94 PleaseHelpFindDaniel.com
In June of 2021 Daniel Robinson, vanished into the unforgiving desert just outside of Phoenix Arizona. The 24 year old geologist was doing work on public wells in the area when he suddenly and unexpectedly disappeared. A month later his car was found flipped over in a ravine, his clothes, wallet, keys, phone, and a case of water were all found in the vehicle. His family is still desperately searching for him, but local police believe he doesn’t want to be found and everyone has their own, seemingly bizarre theory. But when you analyze what we know, the truth seems far from normal.

  • #93 The Lost Village of Central Park
In 1825, before the civil war and the emancipation proclamation, a 25-year-old black man named Andrew Williams bought land in the middle of Manhattan.
The area was countryside at the time and offered a reprieve from the overcrowded and often dangerous city life of lower Manhattan. Two years later when an end to slavery was announced, more black families followed Williams to the islands lush countryside.
And thus Seneca Village was born, a community ahead of its time, and one that time almost forgot…almost….

  • #91 Blake & Chynna
On July 24 2006 After a long and stressful day at work Christina Dickus headed over to her mothers house, excited to see her son for the first time in a week. But when she arrived at her mothers home Blake had not been dropped off. Angry that she now had to go out of her way, Christina headed over to ex- husband Sean and Chynna’s home.
But when she turned down their street her heart sank at the sight of what awaited her…

No Andy this week! But luckily Kristen was able to fill in as Michael stumbles through the stories...
Andy was still able to scrounge up some topics for this week however. Giving us an update on one of last week's stories, along with a vigilante ex-mayor, some apparent half assed badminton players, and a crying thief, stealing from one of the most dangerous groups on the planet, The navy seals… ouch
