Gleanings - April 2022

Don’t be fooled by financial prosperity. Financial prosperity gained through a heart of righteousness is a blessing and will be used to honor and glorify God. However, financial gain accumulated through a heart of wickedness is a setup for judgment. Wise leaders and managers understand the ways of God regarding financial wealth and seek to align with the will and ways of God. This means they govern their organizations according to God’s metrics as revealed in Scripture. This is the only way to achieve sound financial blessings and enduring success in God’s universe.

Gleanings - March 2022

Wise management will seek to use money to trade up to transcendent wealth, such as, wisdom, righteousness, and reputation. While profit is a Christian value, it is not the seminal value. Nor is money the metric of success. True success emanates from obedience to the will of God; therefore, temporal wealth is simply a tool that reveals mankind’s heart condition. An organization led by leaders and managers whose hearts are inclined to the Lord will define success as obedience to the will of God and will use money as a tool to trade up to gain transcendent wealth.

Regardless of the vehicle of investing (public or private), the purpose of investing is to produce a tangible ROI. The best people to invest-in are those who are humble, submitted, and teachable before God. Such people will seek to align with the will and ways of God in their thinking and actions. These people will enjoy the favor and blessing of God in their work.

Gleanings - January 2022

Wise organizational leaders and managers must embrace a high view of all Scripture, including the Old Testament, interpreted based on Jesus as Lord and Christ. Accordingly, they should encourage all stakeholders to honor the Lord as their provider, both individually and organizationally. A way to do this is to practice the tithe principle. Also, giving should be a second way of honoring the Lord. All stakeholders should be sensitive when they see someone lacking resources to align with the will of God. In such situations, the Lord may be directing a stakeholder or stakeholders to help meet those needs. In faithfully practicing the principles of tithing and giving, the stakeholders are gratefully acknowledging God as the source of all blessings, including temporal provision.

Wise organization leaders and managers understand that alignment with the will and ways of God is the predicate for building excellent organizations. To build such organizations requires stakeholders who are individually seeking to obey God though the power of the Holy Spirit. Such people are blessed. Leaders and managers who commit to building organizations with blessed stakeholders will build organizations that are blessed and will then bless those they serve with excellent value propositions. To build with stakeholders who are not seeking alignment with God will not, in the end, be blessed. Enduring blessing is the by-product of obedience to the will and ways of God by every stakeholder. This is a high standard, but it is the correct standard.
