I was a #vanlifer back when it got popular. My motivation was to be free and travel the country but I also needed to make a living while I did it. Isn't it funny how you can see other peoples businesses so clearly but when it comes to your own it's like all that wisdom and insight is gone? It's hard, we are so inside of our business, it's hard to see it from the outside.

In this episode I'm sharing how I get that outsiders perspective on my own business so I can figure out my own strategy. I defiantly bring in consultants and experts when I need them but this episode is to help you do it on your own!

I even share what's happening in my own business strategy in this moment. (Hint: leaving Instagram and starting from scratch on other platforms! eek!)

Marketing is not a a set list of actions to take that lead to a certain result. Marketing is completely customized to leverage what the business has access to. It's thinking out of the box for possibilities, seeing if it's possible then creating a strategy to do it. The strategy is in the creativity. So if you have no network, how are you going to get in front of people? Or if you have no online presence but a huge network of corporate connections.. Are you going to use that to your advantage? It's not that one strategy is better than another, it's what strategy fits best for you right now.. implementing it and see if it works. What works now might not work next round but try it again in a year and you could have massive success. Marketing is constantly adapting to the circumstances - audience reach, money, attitude, time, etc and creating a new plan based on right now. Then finding what will work for the next time..

Marketing trends are generally dictated by the amount of consumerism and also from the preferences of the majority. That would be Generation Z.

Set to be the largest generation so far, they are here with fresh eyes and a new perspective on what matters in business. The trend are always set by the young generations and over the years it trickles up to everyone else who is older. Eventually we will all be following the trends, you can jump ahead of it now to be ready or wait until it hits the mass media. Either way, change is coming!

Sometime it's easy to stop the self doubt shame cycle and get back on track... sometimes we catch ourselves in the depths of it. These 7 tips to rebuilding your confidence are some of the strategies I've used to help business owners get back on track. This is not for you if your confidence is rooted in a trauma or a cycle that you continue to repeat. That needs loving care from a coach or a therapist which I can help you find the right fit for you. These tips are a quick fix to turn your mindset around quickly.
