When I heard there was going to be another installment into the Irish and Whiskey series I was pretty thrilled. Until I saw that it wasn't going to be about Jamie and Aiden. Still, I wanted to read it because I liked Daniel in the previous books. Melissa is a character that I found to be just, OK. I still feel that way after reading this.

This spin-off shorty is the story of how Daniel and Melissa came to fall in love with each other. Although we got snippets of how they became to be in flash backs, I feel like it took a backseat to the action that was happening in the book. I didn't get the connection nor felt any real chemistry between the two characters.

There's celebration happening on a yacht called The Ellen. Daniels father is retiring and he will be taking over the business. All of his family is there as well as all of his colleagues and other business guests. The only people missing is Aiden and Melissa. Both have been held off by trouble boarding their flight and getting off of one separately. It is soon realized this was no coincidence when the yacht is taken over and they become hostages to a competing shipping company. If this wasn't bad enough, they soon find out there is also a bomb on board. It's up to Melissa, Daniel, Cam, and Jamie to keep not only his family safe, but also the rest of his guests as they take down mercs and try to defuse the bomb.

Just like her previous books the action is solid and is edge of your seat good. I loved getting more of Jamie and Aiden even if it wasn't as much as I wanted. They were definitely the highlights for me in this book. I am really hoping there is going to be a book with Dominic and I of course want another Irish and Whiskey book. They are engaged so I definitely want a wedding story.

I think Melissa and Daniel worked better as supporting characters than they did as the main focus of the story. There just wasn't enough there between them to convince me they are such a great fit.

Here's to hoping for more from Whiskey and Irish!

Another great one!

This series by Nicole Burnham is excellent. A favorite of mine that I will listen to again...every one of them. It's wonderful how different each story is from another.

ONE MAN'S PRINCESS is one of my favorites of this series. I loved the characters, the way they interact with one another, and who they are as people. I cried and laughed throughout. There wasn't much suspense, which I appreciate for the difference it adds to the series.

Hollis McCarthy is a favorite narrator of mine. Her voice is so smooth and calm, full of emotion, and nails the mood of these books perfectly each time.

So looking forward to more from Nicole Burnham and Hollis McCarthy!!

lovely romance

Where does One Man's Princess: Royal Scandals, Book 6 rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

Once again Hollis McCarthy has a standout performance. I actually choose books based on the fact that she is the narrator!

The storyline is very sweet and characters are sympathetic. It is really not a stand-alone story, as the series context is required to understand the main character's issues. But it's a good listen and I look forward to the next book in the series!

Great Addition to Series!

This is a great series to listen to. I frequently listen to audio books when I am travelling and they make the time driving or flying speed by. The Royal Scandals Series is one that I really enjoy listening to. Hollis McCarthy does an awesome job as a voice actress. She seems to make the characters come alive. I would recommend this audio book and this entire series. Lina Cornaro the illegitimate daughter of the King of Sarcaccia is trying to come to terms with the person her mother really was -- in addition to her breakup with Ivo Zanardi. When you factor in some over zealous paparazzi and Ivo coming to her rescue is it another recipe for more heartache or is love the ultimate winner? Listen and find out.

Reckless perfectly named

Our beloved Christos gets more attention in this book and we (the readers) learn about what is going on. Sam continues with her emotional drama with her parents. I am still waiting for her wake up call to say "whatever" and leave it alone. Time to cut her parental ties and do what's best for her. Perhaps Sam's break-away is the push her parents need to get out of this abnormal robot mode they are in?

I am glad to see Sam getting a backbone and standing up for herself; by seeing her growth makes me tolerate of her weak character. Seeing progress makes me continue reading.

I love the sense of humor!!! So much fun and this is why I continue reading Samantha Smith's series. Plus the love is so passionate and romantic. However I see there lacks a faith/belief on Christos part when it comes to revealing his secrets. Sometimes protecting someone causes more damage; example Sam's parents and Christos impending jail time.

And I am so mad at the way Devon left this book. What. The. Bleep! Oh hell no! You are so not cool. This "ending" of a cliffhanger is JUST WRONG! My Christos! *sighs* I will finish this review as Devon better get his next book, "Painless" written ASAP because Christos needs a savior. And, darn it, I fell in love with Christos, Romeo, and Mads (Madison).

Devon Hartford has a way with words, I feel so connected to Samantha and Christos as well as the rest of the gang.

Reckless continues where Fearless left off, with a little twist. In Reckless you get the story from both POV's. Love when authors do that.

I can't wait for Book3, Can you write faster and move it up like for Christmas, Thanksgiving or hey even Halloween would be good time for it.

not always in a bad way though

I am absolutely loving this series. This is the second book in the Sugartown series. I highly suggest that you read them in order. We get a lot of Holly in the previous book.

Holly is completely crazy, not always in a bad way though. She has her moments. If you've read Welcome to Sugartown, you know that she is pregnant with Coop's baby. She's hiding it though. But that doesn't last long.

Jackson is Ana's cousin. He is now flatmates with Ana, Holly, and Elijah. What a crazy bunch this is.

These two are so stubborn. I loved the arguments between them. They sometimes seem like oil and water. It takes them awhile to admit how they feel.

Of course, Jackson was an idiot and did something so stupid. But when you through Cooper back into the picture....

The Wombat made me laugh, the spider didn't. Even though I would love to visit Australia, those two things reminded me of why I really shouldn't lol. Too many deadly creatures. I did have to look the word ranga up.

I am curious as to what happened with Cooper after the baby was born. Is he going to be in the picture or not?

Fireworks, chemistry and a whole lotta booze

I was so happy to see Holly and Jackson getting their own story after meeting them in Welcome to Sugartown. And I absolutely loved reading the ups, downs, drama and good times that Carmen always provides! There were some jaw dropping scenes that had me rushing to see what happens next and yet as the story continued I almost didn't want it to end, I fell in love with Jack and Hols.

Jack is self-confessed man-whore whose past with Holly means that sparks soon start flying now they're housemates. However, Holly being pregnant with her ex's baby provides a pretty big complication to what could be a simple "friends with benefits" situation - as long as you ignore the growing "more than friends" feelings that begin.

Carmen Jenner is one hell of a writer and I love how beautifully she describes Sugartown as well as her perfect depictions of all the characters - from Holly and Jack to revisiting Ana, Elijah, Sammy and Bob.

Hot, steamy and fun!

Hot and steamy from the start, Stacey Kennedy has a winner on her hands. Maddox and Joss first meet a year before in a quick, bathroom encounter, you know, the one night stand with no ties. Fast forward the year, and Joss is now through her police training and who should be her superior? After trying to ignore their attraction, they agree to a friends with benefits arrangement, but will that be enough? The chemistry between these two characters is evident from the first scene. Kennedy has given them both of them depth, coming from different pasts and having to overcome obstacles. I really enjoyed the back story of Maddox's father and his battle with Alzheimer's disease. Having a grandparent that suffered from this disease, she was spot on with the way it affects the patient on different days and how Maddox is able to learn to deal with it. This relationship is key to the final outcome for me, and I loved the way it was intertwined into this steamy story. The supporting characters of Amelia and Greyson were both a lot of fun. Amelia certainly has a way of stating things and Greyson appears aloof but intuitive. Can't wait for his story.

Gideon H Welles portrays the dom in Maddox with such a warm but commanding voice, you can't help but get wrapped up in the narration. I love that he can easily switch between male and female voices, and does not use a high pitch for his female creating that fake sound with his baritone voice. His pace and flow with the characters was perfect.

Yes I would because Maddox just does it for me.

Maddox and his dom tendencies. Joss and Madoox don't start out conventionally and love that about them. The face real life issues and still over come them.

A Delicious Listen

Jessica Summers just wants a spot in Chef Tom's school. Much to her surprise, this hard-working girl is given a spot at the school AND a much-needed job. That's when she meets the delicious-looking Chef Bryan. Will Jessica be able to handle her new job? Or will the explosive chemistry between Jessica and Bryan lead to something more?

This was a fun and light-hearted read that I absolutely enjoyed. I couldn't help but smile as we got to listen to Jessica's inner thoughts. Rachel Mazz also did an excellent job narrating. Kudos to the author, Gaby Cabezut.

A sweet book.

Let's face it, at one time or another every woman dreamed of meeting her Prince Charming and being swept off of her feet. This book is an exact blueprint on how most of us would like that to happen. I loved this book!

Sabrina was an accurate portrayal of so many young women these days. I adored her and her humble beginnings and her hard-working parents. I loved that she, like so many of us who grew up with parents who worked themselves to the bone to make ends meet, dreamed of making her life better so that she could help her parents. There was not one thing unlikable about this character, she was great from start to finish.

Marco. Was. Perfect. I liked him from the moment we met him, but the thing that clinched it for me was when he (SPOILER) stopped her from kissing him after their baseball date. He was adorable at the game, but that moment in the hallway was *absolutely perfect* and I fell in love. Thankfully, he just got better. He wasn't a rich, spoiled a-hole or a swaggering alpha, he was just a genuinely great dude who fell in love. I loved him.

The story was sweet, well-written, and had the kind of happily ever after that I just loved. Krista Lakes nailed this one and I absolutely loved it!!!

Wonderful Story

This is a great price as you get two books for the price of one! Kirsta's books are great reads.

Yours Royally: A Cinderella Love Story

Sabrina lived in Memphis, TN in a trailer park with her parents. Her parents were barely making a living. Sabrina wanted to go to college and was working to save money. She answered a job ad in the paper where the pay for three months would give her enough money to pay for college. In the interview she was told that she couldn't ask any questions about her employer or look him up on the Internet. She would have many duties being an assistant such as making reservations, cleaning her bosses hotel room, keeping the paparazzi away and traveling. The man she was working for was named Marco and he could be a model for all Sabrina knew. He was very kind and lots of fun. Sabrina was excited about the travel. This was a good book that I encourage you to read.

There were twists in the book that I did not expect. I loved Prince Marco and his father. The Queen was a royal witch that I did not like.

Ice Princess no more

this was a great story. Initially I had troubles with Carr's "no nonsense, ice princess that falls and won't get over the not deserving ex boyfrirnd" personality. But as I got to know her...I realize that she is the way she is because of how she was raised. Instead of wanting to get in there and shake some sense into her... I started cheering for her. she was complex and I like watching her grow throughout the book it made the book get so much better and the happily-ever-after was awesome. Nick was a awesome personality for her. he brought out the best in her and together they made an amazing couple.

I Got the FEELS

First off, narrator Maxine Mitchell did a wonderful job and really sold the story and the characters. Second, Lauren Layne is going on my list of authors to look out for.

Admittedly I wasn't really feeling the story at the beginning as I found it to be a little flat and the characters hadn't caught my interest. I almost gave up on continuing after the first 3 chapters but then things started to pickup steam, without being steamy that is. The characters started to become more interesting and their dynamics more captivating.

I liked how this story didn't happen over a days or a few months but rather over a year, nearing two years, giving time for the two love interest to grow individually and then as a couple. There were moments that had me chuckle and then their were moments where I felt my eyes go a little glassy and a bit of heaviness sitting on my chest. I was moved. Although there were a few scenes in the book that were steamy it wasn't the focal point of the story but rather just icing to a delicious romance. I really liked that about this story.

It was fun and interesting to see these two go from Enemies to Frenemies and then finally to Lovers. Both breaking down each other's reserves and allowing themselves to hope for more despite their past coloring how they love or react to each other.

What made the experience of listening to Three Brothers the most enjoyable?

The story flowed well and was surprisingly believable despite the subject matter of one woman falling in love with three brothers.

Who was your favorite character and why?

April is the main character and was my favorite -- I felt for her and rooted for her. I also really liked Rita from the cafe.

What about Meghan Kellys performance did you like?

Meghan Kelly made the different voices perfectly distinctive -- enough to make it clear who was speaking, but not so different as to be distracting. The best part? Her amazing performance of the hot & steamy scenes! Wow!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I got emotional a few times, particularly when April was in her mom's car. The best part, though, was the epilogue.

Great story line

This is a book with very detail-oriented sex scenes and a great story line ,This is the 1st from this author that I have read are And well for sure Follow her in the future .This book kept me intrested from the beginning to the very end

Very True To Life, and VERY Hot!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would, I found the writing excellent and true to life. I related well to the main female character, and the men seemed alive and natural. No porn-ish scenes, gung ho hero complexes, or fake dialogue.

Which character as performed by Meghan Kelly was your favorite?

I really loved that Megan Kelly can do such wonderful and varied voices for the characters. I liked them all but the main female character April was the most genuine.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene where they go to the graveyard after the graduation was very moving.

Any additional comments?

I have heard this narrator's voice within several different genres and every time I hear a new book, I find that I like her voice even more.

Smoking hot!

Amazing story with a great build up of lust and longing. It would be near impossible to resist these three smoking hot brothers and I am surprised that April is able to resist as long as she does. Each brother is caring and a gentleman but each of them is so different from one another. Of course they are they make up the perfect man.
