If you love birds you will love these books. We purchased Mango & Kiwi, Molly & Magnum, Congo and Will, and Anna the Cockatiel. All written by LaVonna Moore. They made wonderful Christmas gifts for our grandson and our nephews children. The story along with all the beautiful pictures were enjoyed by all. Great books for kids!!

Rufus and The Flying Carpet is an imaginative tale about how a young and inquisitive rabbit, Rufus, happens upon a flying carpet. Using a combination of hard work, cooperation, respect, and courtesy; Rufus and his friends are able to enjoy the benefits of having a magical flying carpet.

While reading this beautifully creative tale, I noticed that Murphy has a flair for highlighting good character traits by demonstrating that exhibiting these traits will lead to a positive outcome. These little lessons are woven skillfully throughout Rufus' adventure so that they become a crucial part of the story.

While 4- or 5- year old children will struggle a bit with the words, Rufus and The Flying Carpet is an appropriate story for children of all ages. The delightful and whimsical illustrations encourage children to let their imaginations soar as they hear/read about the exciting experiences that Rufus and his friends have.

To be honest, my inner child wishes that there were more illustrations; however, it would be a fantastic addition to any family's library.

Here's a cute tale with simple easy to read text and fun illustrations. Rufus is a very nice bunny who is learning about magic in the world of rabbits. This book is just the start so you know there will be more to come in the future. C'mon, grab Rufus' paw and lets go...

Rufus has noticed his guardian fairy and her friends but doesn't pay a lot of attention to them. When he suddenly realizes he can make sense of what they say, he's amazed. He's even more amazed at what he finds half-buried in the dirt. It's a carpet and it needs to be washed. Even before he gets it clean he finds there is a special power in it. It can fly!

It's great fun to watch Rufus and his friends learn the nuances of a flying carpet. You don't want to go too fast. You want to ask it to return from another dimension slowly or it will knock you flat. There's much to learn and lots of fun.

This story will leave you with a taste in your mouth for the next. I wonder what new adventures Rufus will have?
