A fun enjoyable book for the children

A fun read for the kids to enjoy. My son generally enjoys most picture books but I think he quite liked this one. The story is written in catchy ryhme and there isn't too much written on each page, but lots of large illustrations that the kids will like. Overall a nice fun book for the kids to enjoy.

A Sweet Little Fairy Tale

This was a cute, predictable fairy tale. Perfect for when you have less than a half hour to listen.

Adorable Fairy Tale

Narration - Emma Lysy - Pretty Good

This isn't the first Children's book that I've listened to, but it is one that I really wanted to see the illustrations while I was listening to it!

The Cowboy receives mystical dreams that lead him to the 12 princesses. With additional mystical help, he discovers the secret of how their shoes become worn each night! (I'm curious how they stay awake during the day!) :O

This is a cute fairy tale. I think, in written format, great for younger kids/toddlers because they always ask a lot of questions and the illustrations would help - or you could pause and discuss their questions as you're listening to it. Perfect for probably 5-6 and up. Really an adorable little story.

I received a copy of this audiobook free of charge from Audiobookblast in exchange for an unbiased review.

Wonderful Fairytale

Would you consider the audio edition of The Twelve Dancing Princesses to be better than the print version?

No.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the variation from another version I've read of the 12 Dancing Princesses. It's always fun to hear other versions of tales.

Have you listened to any of Emma Lysys other performances before? How does this one compare?

Unfortunately, I have not had that opportunity...yet. Ms. Lysy was a joy to hear. At times, the "loud breaths" in between dialogue was a bit much, but overall her performance was enjoyable.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No.

Any additional comments?

I was given a copy of this audiobook via audiobook blast in exchange for an unbiased review.

Ahhhh... Cute

23 mins is the shortest book i got from Audiobook Blast. I like children's books, and this is cute! Is those 23 mins worth $4.99? Almost! I think this is a cute fairytale, but i am not sure it is a $4.99 tale! Get it on sale, or just get it if you want a cute tale, so i would just get it.

Emma Lysy is her self a fairytale! She reads it PERFECT! I am so happy she reads it to me the way she does! Her way of telling this tale makes it come alive! I wish i had more books with her voice!

âMy family owns Aliens, Inc., and we do birthday parties for Earthling kids.â

Darcy Pattison is an Arkansas children's book author and writing teacher. In 1999, she created the Novel Revision Retreat, which she now teaches across the nation. As a children's book author her books have been translated into nine languages, and have been recognized for excellence by starred reviews, Book of the Year awards, state award lists and more. She is the 2007 recipient of the Arkansas Governor's Arts Award for Individual Artist for her work in children's literature.

Sparsely illustrated by Rich Davis in tiny pen and ink drawings and far more of a `mostly words' format than her other I WANT A DOG and I WANT A CAT little master pieces, the book will appeal to older children (the author has noted age 6 - 12). The story is cute and has some sound ideas and makes up in super heroes for what it lacks in the warmth arena. The author's synopsis is sound: Kell makes a startling discovery: he has zigzag fingerprints! Worse, Mrs. Lynx and the Society of Alien Chasers know that the aliens have zigzag fingerprints! They are on the hunt. Everyone turns detective in this continuing adventure of an alien family from planet Bix, who struggles to make ends meet by putting on birthday parties for kids. But the stakes are higher than ever. Because Kell's mom has just laid a beautiful egg. Will it be a boy or girl alien? (HINT: Boys come from green eggs.) With Mrs. Lynx on the prowl, can Kell and Bree keep the egg safe?â

Darcy Pattison writes well and it is wise she chooses not to limit her material to a single category. Stepping into the world of aliens proves a fine territory for her. Grady Harp, May 17

I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.

Enjoy reading & remember when you were a kid.

Shock Kell's mom laid a green egg! Awe Kell gets a baby brother in this out-of-the-world story. In the middle of everything, Mrs. Lynx, the principle finds alien fingerprints, Alien's, Inc. is throwing a surprise birthday party, and the kids become detectives for a school project. Lots of action and learning. The 'List' helps organize as the boys take on the girls in teams to figure out who created the graffiti art. Observation is the key word in this adventure as the kids learn to really see and not just look. To top it off Kell's girlfriend Bree sings a song that chases Kell's tears away! A fast pace keeps the interest.

Title: The Literary Art

Author: A A. Milne

Narrator: Glenn Hascall

Format: Unabridged

Length: 6 mins

Language: English

Release date: 04-01-15

Publisher: Spoken Realms

Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7

Publisher's Summary:

Here is another delightful "Margery" story. In this short tale, young Margery is learning to spell out words and thinks herself a fine writer. The first word she mastered was "baby". The faithful uncle attempts to teach her some of the best ways to create a solid and enjoyable story. In the end, her story was just three words, but perhaps there was a depth no one expected. Perhaps the uncle was just overthinking things.

These stories came before the more famous "Winnie the Pooh", but point to the master storyteller A. A. Milne always was. Filled with gentle humor and relatability. Narrated by Glenn Hascall.
