We are days away from the 2021 MLB draft and why not I make my own Mock Draft and predict who's going where. I'll give you one pick here, the Pittsburg Pirates are going to select Jack Leiter not Marcelo Mayer. The All-Star game is right around the corner as well and it seems that a couple of players are opting out for reasons unknown. Is it because they moved it to Colorado? Who knows? Trade season has started to begin as the Nationals and Brewers pull off some small trades, but we know that the big ones loom ahead. The All-Star break is right around the corner and they have already announced the starters for the game. The brothers of bash, Nick Castellanos and Jesse Winker are both starting the game for the Reds and they become the first Reds duo to make outfield starts in the All-Star Game since the 1950's! Join along with me as I breakdown the All-Star Game and what I think will happen as also introduce my predictions for this years game. How ironic it actually is that the Reds have two starters in the All-Star Game and the Dodgers have none! Maybe people are actually voting for players who have talent and not popularity. Wander Franco, the prodigy, made his MLB debut this past week and the young phenom lived up to the hype by hitting a home run in his first MLB at-bat. Yes ladies and gentlemen the Wander years are finally here. Let us hope this prodigy will have a illustrious career in his years to come. I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. The Brewers make a splash in their division as they are now the head of the NL Central. The Astros as well make an impact as they take over their division beating out the Athletics for now. The Sticky substance conspiracy theory in baseball is on an outrage. Pitchers are becoming angry when they get checked even when they have no substances on them... they still get checked three more times. All I have to say is people take time to sit down, waist 2 hours of your life and enjoy some sports. I don't care if it may not be exciting find the joy in every sport and enjoy it no matter what sport. Because right now it is the depleting fan base that is killing baseball. The Houston Astros are on the verge of possibly breaking an MLB record! If they hit at least two home runs in their next game they will set a record of hitting at least two home runs in one game for the eleventh consecutive game! This record is now tied and previously tied by the 2019 Baltimore Orioles. Speaking of history the Arizona Diamondbacks are not only the worst team in MLB but they also have the longest road losing streak of the modern era: 23 games! Jesse Winker is in the top 10 in home runs and Nick Castellanos is leading MLB in batting average, while both of them are a tandem you don't want to mess with. Now nicknamed the new bash brothers the two Reds are most likely definite all-stars and are high MVP candidates. A sad loss happened this past week as former Twin pitcher, Jim "Mudcat" Grant passed away at the age of 85. He was the first black pitcher to win 20 games and was a key cog in Minnesota's run to the world series in 1965. Tampa Bay takes over as the best team in baseball and are now world series favorites. The San Diego Padres are surprising everybody as they are beating out the Dodgers for first place in the NL West division. Jesse Winker hits three home runs against the Milwaukee Brewers and gets MVP chants!!! Shane Bieber strikes out 110 batters through the first two months of the season and might be on track to break Nolan Ryan's all-time season K record. Corey Kluber makes Yankee history as he throws the first Yankee no-no this century and first since David Cone's perfect game! Albert Pujols signs a one year deal with the Dodgers where he might ultimately end his career. MLB history as those two no-no's become the fifth and sixth of the year. The record for a 162 game schedule is seven while the all-time record was set in the 1880's with eight.
