The world breaks everyone, but not everyone comes out stronger. In 2 Timothy 2:1-7, Paul gives Timothy three pictures of strength: a soldier, an athlete, and a farmer. What they share is the willingness to embrace two things: resistance and rest. Growing stronger is not accidental. It requires discipline, submission, and patience, and it is made possible only through the grace of Jesus Christ.
